For thirty years, North Cascades Institute has connected people, nature and community through direct experiences in the natural world. We help people of all ages experience and enjoy the mountains, rivers, forests, people and wildlife of the Pacific Northwest so that these special places will be cared for and protected. Since 1986, our work has engaged and empowered the next generation of diverse, informed citizens, community leaders and environmental stewards. We hope you will use this Field Guide to find the program that is right for you and join us in exploring, learning about and celebrating the Wild Nearby!
