Initial Position–7 and 7 at 45 degree angle

Snap Responsibilities –Delay of Game, Snap, Contact around Passer, Passer

Initial Position –Line of scrimmage

Keys – Line, Receivers your side

Snap Responsibilities – Snap, Motion, Initial Rush, Release of receivers

Initial Position:- 5 yards from the side line-17 yards from the scrimmage line & behind the deepest def. back

Basic 3 Person Run PlayLJ closes down at the end of the play when

marking the spot.

The R maintains a 7 & 7 position in relation to the

moves up the field.

Basic 3 Person Pass Play

The R maintains a 7 & 7 position in relation to the

player with the ball.

LJ holds initial spot; reads the passing play; moves up the

field.

LJ closes down at the end of the play when

marking the spot.

The R should maintain “inside looking out”

perspective when QB reverses to short side of

field.

shouts “Ball’s Away”, & checks for illegal

If the goal line is the zone line-to-gain, hustle to it

once the ball is snapped.

Before signaling, BJ & LJ should make eye

contact to ensure correct call.

Basic 3 Person Reverse Mechanics

INTERCEPTION!

After change of possession, BJ cleans

up behind play.

LJ & R need to officiate the play as it comes to them.

R is responsible for goal line.

Basic 3 Person Reverse Goal LineWhen the ball is

snapped inside of the 8 yard line, the LJ

should move back to cover the goal line.

When the ball is snapped inside of the 8 yard line,

the R will start on the end line prior to the snap.

Reverse mechanics are also used when the

offense is backed up to their own end zone.

The R and LJ will need to communicate

coverage of the goal line and end line before the

play begins.

Once the goal line is no longer threatened, the R and LJ will move upfield similar to

the other players.

Punt Out of Bounds

When a punt goes out of bounds, the R should

move to the K scrimmage line

The covering wing official should jog past the area where the ball

went out of bounds.

The R should raise his/her hand above

his/her head and make eye contact with the covering wing official

Make eye contact with the R. Begin walking

towards the spot where the ball may have gone

out of boundsWhen the wing official

reaches the out of bounds spot, the R

should chop his/her arm.
