registers and previous registers to be stored on separate channels within IEE.

Contingency Reads

1283896 Issue: Upon CRF file import into Itron Enterprise Edition (IEE), an error occurred when a CRF file contained profile (interval) data. This was caused by an interval mismatch due to incorrect start/stop time. Resolution: A change was made to ensure that the interval count and start/stop time are aligned.

Firmware Download

1597266 Issue: In some instances when performing a firmware update on a large list of devices, a timeout occurred and rendered the connection lost, but FDM Tools continued to run in the background. Users were unable to tell without investigation what the application was doing. Resolution: A modification was made to ensure that if an error condition occurred, FDM Tools would resume operation by continuing to the next device in the list.

Workaround: If distortion occurs, change Microsoft Windows display settings to correct problem (change and/or reduce text size to 100%)

Electric Workflow 766426 Issue: An error occurs when users attempt to initiate a reset registration state on an OpenWay Riva Mesh Node. FDM Tools software supports this feature, but until it is added to the OpenWay Riva Mesh Node firmware, this feature is unavailable.

Electric Workflow 855572 Issue: When viewing the RN-ERT Gateway configuration in FDM Tools, the user cannot see the Utility ID or Collected ERT types. The Utility ID and Collected ERT types are user-defined parameters in the OpenWay Operations Center -Collection Manager (OWOC-CM). Workaround: Use the Advanced Diagnostics “LID Reader” feature to read the following:

• ILID_RFLAN_UTILITY_IDS (to read the Utility ID) • ILID_TYPE_EXCLUSION_FILTER (to read the

Collected ERT Types)

Electric Workflow 636444 Issue: Modifying user role permission levels (permissions inside of the Read FSR, Program FSR, Reset FSR and Power FSR) requires the enabling of the “OpenWay CENTRON” Endpoint Configuration. Workaround: The employee who manages the Business Unit must enable the OpenWay CENTRON Endpoint Configuration in order to change permissions within the four levels. After changing the permissions, the BU manager must disable the OpenWay CENTRON Endpoint Configuration so that it does not appear in the workflows of the FDM Tools menu when FSRs synchronize with the server. Granting users access to any of the four levels does not require the enabling of the OpenWay CENTRON Endpoint Configuration item. This issue is scheduled to be fixed in a later release.

Description

Gas Workflow

1643678 Issue: FDM Tools may indicate an incorrect “Valve Actuation Life Status” and “Non Metrology Counter” when checking the Service Status of the Intelis Gas Meter when in Mobile Mode. Workaround: There is no workaround for this issue. Itron will release a fix in the next scheduled release.

Gas/Water Workflow

1560845 Issue: 1st Article "built to stock" in factory ship mode with a pending takeover package cannot be programmed Workaround: Perform an Auto Detect to wake up the endpoint, check the mode, and then apply the takeover package

Gas/Water Workflow

1556271 Issue: FDM Server is not updating Extract Interval Data from BPD on 5 min Workaround: Reduce the amount of interval data being selected; choose an interval greater than five minutes, recommend 15-minute or larger

FDM Workorders

838785 Issue: In FDM Workorders systems, some instances of synchronized workorders might not properly link to the workorder data to show a proper status of "Installed." Workaround: Manually update a field in the workorder completion details and re-save the order. This should trigger a change to the inventory status to show "Installed."

Gas workflow

1552520 Issue: Unable to Seal Intelis Gas Meter when Seal Certificate ID is null Workaround: In FDM server client, navigate to Business Administration > Business Unit Properties and enter any value into the Seal Certificate ID field. For example, you can enter the text string space or you could enter a single or double space.

Appendix C: Field Deployment Manager Mobile > Release v4.2.0.335 Release Description

These release notes were originally released 4 June 2019 as part number INF-7195-001.

The Field Deployment Manger Mobile release v4.2.0.335 addresses several high priority bugs in the mobile application that were resolved after the v4.2.0.300 release. This hotfix, which is also known as a program temporary fix (PTF), as a prerequisite requires that the FDM server version is 4.2.0.300. This software must be installed on the FDM application server using the FDM Server client. This release: • Corrects the battery counter value reported for all 500S endpoints. • Corrects an extract interval data issue for all 500S endpoints. • For the OWR-GRD, adds the SSID value to the Check Result screen. • Corrects the device sub-type that is reported for the Gen5 Gas Module. • For the OpenWay Riva Water Module, corrects programming to use the correct cut orientation

value. • Corrects the way the application functions when viewing event details for the Image Activation

Successful event for Gen5 Gas Modules. • Updates the Measurement Unit FW CRC display value on the Firmware Versions overlay to

match Intelis Gas Meter’s index display. Contact Itron Customer Support at (877) 487-6602 or [email protected] before you apply system upgrades or modifications. To ensure proper system performance and compliance with software license and support agreements, do not apply unapproved third-party service packs or program temporary fixes (PTFs).

Resolved Issues The following issues have been resolved in this release.

Functionality Affected

Reference Number

Description

User Interface 1490514 Issue: The Check Endpoint Status result screen for 500S endpoints could display an incorrect battery counter value. Resolution: The FDM mobile application now correctly provides a 64-bit full battery counter value.

Data Integrity 1555161 Issue: The FDM mobile application failed to retrieve all interval data records from 500S endpoints when the buffer was full or nearly full. Resolution: FDM mobile application now reads the interval data table in blocks until all records in the buffer are read.

User Interface 1573687 Issue: The Check Endpoint Status result screen did not display the SSID for the OWR-GRD endpoint. Resolution: The Check Endpoint Status result screen for the OWR-GRD now includes its SSID value.

User Interface 1574109 Issue: The FDM mobile application reported the incorrect device subtype for the Gen5 Gas Module. Resolution: The enumeration for sub-type values is now updated to include the Gen5 Gas Module subtypes.

Workflow 1574450 Issue: The Program Endpoint workflow for the OpenWay Riva Water Module incorrectly used the Cut Orientation value from the 60WP endpoint. Resolution: The FDM mobile application workflow now uses the correct meter configuration value for the OpenWay Riva Water Module.

User Interface 1596969 Issue: Viewing the event detail for the Image Activation Successful event on a Gen5 Gas Module caused the FDM mobile application running on a desktop to stop running. Resolution: The FDM mobile application now displays the event detail as expected.

User Interface 1597304 Issue: The FDM mobile application displayed the Measurement Unit FW CRC value incorrectly on the Firmware Versions overlay, and it did not match the value on the LCD display of the Intelis Gas Meter. Resolution: The FDM mobile application now applies the correct conversion to the stored value before display.

Upgrade Guidance Only perform this PTF upgrade on an FDM server running v4.2.0.300.
