Objectives

Identify the correct format for producing a fictional narrative.

Create a fictional narrative using plot, dialogue, and sensory details in response to a prompt.

Vocabulary

Dialogue- “”quotations that show conversations between characters

Plot- exposition, rising and falling action, climax, resolution, conflict, characters, and background

Sensory Details-sight, touch, smell, taste, hear, and feelings or emotions.

Your Fictional Narrative should always follow this format:

Paragraph 1 Set up the picture (get reader’s attention) Setting, Characters, Background

Paragraph 2 Event 1: Introduce the conflict Include dialogue and sensory details

Paragraph 3 Event 2: Climax or problem gets worse Include dialogue and sensory details

Paragraph 4 Event 3: Resolution or problem is solved Include dialogue and sensory details

Paragraph 5 Reflection…starts with “In Conclusion…” Use the story starts below
