・See the chapter 2.3.4 Mounting conditions of PCI cards and usable built-in I/Os in PRIMEQUEST 520A/520/420 SYSTEM DESIGN GUIDE (C122-B009-EN)

9.2. Limitations when Fibre Channel card is exchanged. <OS: Windows Server 2003 DTC , Windows Server 2003 EE , Windows Server 2008> -When you change Fibre Channel card used for boot path to other

Fibre Channel card (other part# card), OS reinstall will be necessary. -No need to reinstall OS for the change between the same part# products. -No need to reinstall OS when Fibre Channel card is used for data path.

9.3. Note EFI driver name When it boots from SAN storage device and updates Firmware built-in PCI

card, it should perform "drivers" command with EFI shell mode and confirm EFI Driver which displayed "Emulex SCSI Pass Thru Driver".

When it uses EFI Driver version 3.11x1, it is displayed as follows by IMAGE NAME column, but there is no problem in movement.

・"EFI Internal Error2" is displayed in BOOT in SANBOOT environment by a screen, and there is the case that the phenomenon that a system is reset.

< Occurrence condition > ・After it was done SANBOOT setting (WWPN of Boot Target setting), when FC switch and

setting of the RAID side are changed, and it cannot be seen Boot Volume, it occurs. < Avoidance >

(1) In the state that EFI system stands up (EFI prompt is displayed ( “ EFI Shell> “)), change FC switch or setting of the RAID side, carry out Scan Target by all means, and set Boot Target again.

(2) If FC switch or setting of the RAID side is changed in the state that EFI system does not stand up, in the state that the fiber cable which is connected to pertinent FC card is pulled, start EFI system (EFI prompt is displayed ( “ EFI Shell> “)), connect fiber cable again, carry out Scan Target by all means, and set Boot Target again.

17

9.5. Setting driver parameter Driver palameter which is necessary when Fujitsu ETERNUS 3000/4000/8000 Disk Storage System and FC card be connected is described below.

* As for the maximum speed of the using Fibre Channel card, confirm it in a product manual and Emulex corporation website.

Emulex corporation website : http://www.emulex.com < Linux OS >

Confirm README in directory: "kernel version" which this manual is arranged. < Windows OS >

Set the following driver parameters.

1 Start HBAnyware Utility. Click the [Start] button, [Program](or [All programs]) - [Emulex] - [HBAnyware], HBAnyware Utility is started. 2 Select the port every the pertience FC card and click the "Driver Parameters".

18

When it is the same setting in all Fibre Channel cards, select locar server and select the "Driver Parameters".

19

3 Confirm the set point (Value) of each Adapter Parameter. Confirm and revise the set point that is mentioned in the following lists. Revise it (Value) in "Modify Adapter Parameters" by Adapter Parameter.
