A BIBLIOGRAPY OF UTAH ROCK ART

Dorde W. Woodruff

This work is presented not as an accomplished thing, but as the best possible within the time available. The orientation is to URARA, that is, the question asked is, "What works would be useful to members of our group?" Or, what would have been useful to myself when beginning to study rock art?

With that goal in mind, some references. are , hich do not deal with Utah rock art itself, but rather with. '.hniques ,YS recording, or relevant aspects of Indian culture, for kachins, or any other subjects which may have a bearing on the st.ty of Utah rock art. Inclusion of articles on techniques (or anything else, for that matter) is on a non-critical basis.

As to works specifically n Utah rock art, the definition is broad. It is to cite everything which , tything to do with Utah rock art. Perhaps one key photo from an arti , n nnAd be helpful to a researcher. Also, every- thing on Fremont rock art ann some papers on Fremont culture are included whether located within the borders of the state or not.
