The women were victorious early in the season at the Nebraska-Kearney Twilight meet and theFriends Invitational. They also finished second at the Tabor Invitational.

The men's squad didnot win any meets butcame away with second-place finishes at Nebraska-Kearney and Friends Uni-versity. The men were alsothird at the Tabor Invita-tional and Fort Hays StateTiger Open.

Both squads had a bitof a struggle at the MIAAChampionships this season, with the women finishingfifth and the men seventh. However, both squadscame back strong to record6th-place finishes at the 28-team South Central Re-gional. Both squads endedthe season ranked sixth inthe region.

Comments: Great job by most of our Tigers. Learn to win. Learn to compete against people. Not a bad effort formost. We need to keep working hard over the next several weeks and be diligent in our training.

Comments: Not our best meet for sure. This conference is one of the toughest and deepest in NCAA Division II.We competed to where we were ranked going in. But our expectations must be much higher than that. Keepworking hard and let’s show improvement in two weeks at regionals.

Comments: We had a very good day. The women were ranked seventh coming into the meet and the men werenot even in the top ten. We proved the rankings were wrong on this day. This should be a boost for the future ofour program. You proved you can run well, even against such good competition. We’ve climbed a rung and nowwe need to work even harder to get to the next step of qualifying for the national meet.
