1.. As per DepEd Regional Memo No. 212, s. 2016 "Clarifications on the Deworming Guidelines forJu15,' 2016", this office reiterates the guidelines stated therein. Please see Enclosure No. 1 .

2. Furthermore, 26 Jlaly 2016 is designated as the Division Mass Deworming Day. However, theGrade 5 students who were given Dengvaxia vaccine should not be dewormed within 4 weeksafter vaccination to allow observation for any adverse event.

3. A kick-off activity will be held on 26 July 2016 (Tuesday), 8 am at Imus National HighSchool (INIIS)-Main. All school heads and clinic teachers are enjoined to attend. See

Enclosure No. 2 for the program of the said activity.

4. lnitial text reporting by the school coordinator to division coordinator at 09198949343109175288691 is due on 28 July 2016, 10 am following this format:

As per DepEd Order No. 51 s. 2015 "lmplementatian of the Schaol-Bosed Feeding Pragram for 5Y 2076-2A77 "Enclosure Section 9 Complementary Activities states that " beneficiaries undergo deworming prior to feeding in

order for them to get the full benefit of the food nutrients."

Furthermore, in support of the Department of Health's Memoradum No. 2016-0212 " Harmonized Schedule dndCombined Mass Drug Administrotion for the Prevention and Cantrol of Lymphatic Filariasis, , Schistasamiosis,

and Soil-Transmitted Helminthiosis", and after the series of consultation/orientation with the Divisions last June

2. Objective is to deworm 85% of the above target/ellgible population.

3. Private Schools participating in the Mass Deworming Activity (MDA) are encouraged to coordinate withthe respective Local Government Units for the drug supply, monitoring, recording and reporting.

4. The Division Coordinator/s for Private Schools are to assist the Private Schools in the orientation,monitoring and reporting.

5. The Public School District Supervisors are to assist the Public Schools in their respective area in theorientation, monitoring and reporting.
