NQF Level 4: 120 Credits
This qualification is aimed at Learning and Development (L&D) Practitioners entering into the L&D field. The programme is structured around one study block, three times during the year to support flexibility, access and learner-directed training.
One thousand two hundred notional learning hours are required to achieve this qualification. Enrolment requirements that apply to employed candidates who wish to complete this qualification:
• A minimum of a matric certificate or equivalent NQF 3 literacy and numeracy• A minimum of three years of general workplace experience
Applicants must have access to a workplace where application of the learning may be conducted so as to produce evidence to be included in a portfolio and used in the assessment process. A community project is available if this is not possible.
Each of the study blocks is facilitated over a five day period. A one-on-one learner support workshop is scheduled twelve weeks after each block to assist candidates in reviewing their Portfolios of Evidence in preparation for assessment.

This NQF Level 4 – FET Certificate in OD-ETD Practices requires candidates to achieve a minimum of 120 credits. The study blocks collectively offer a maximum of 70 core and elective credits. The remaining 56 fundamental credits are achieved through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
The table below outlines the unit standards and exit level outcomes covered during this qualification. This qualification can be done via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
