experience, you’ll join our sommelier in the KOH Cellar to sample

Your palate will embark on a journey through the world’s most

KOH COOKING STUDIO Our interactive cooking class is held from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm each

change on a daily basis, and that are simple to recreate at home.

Our chef will demonstrate how to cook the dish, after which it’s

SWIMMING POOLAmidst swaying coconut palms by the white-sand beach, the 50-metre pool’s infinity edges blend seamlessly with the turquoise waters of the private bay. BEACHES

Enjoy our beautiful white sand beaches, shaded by palm trees and affording views of the distant islands of the Gulf of Thailand. To ensure you enjoy our beach as safely as possible, please take notice of the flag. A red flag indicates strong currents, large waves or other hazards, while yellow indicates caution and a green flag means you can enjoy swimming! Adult supervision is required at all times for small children, as there is no lifeguard on duty. Use of equipment is at your own risk. We have beach attendants who can accompany you on the equipment if you require assistance.

MAIN BEACHOur beautiful main beach is the perfect place to relax in the daytime, on a recliner or lounging in the refreshing water.

QUIET BEACHTake advantage of our quiet beach as an alternative to our family-oriented beach. The beach is designated for guests seeking some ‘quiet time’.

POOL & BEACH LOUNGERS

There are plenty of beach loungers for everyone! In an effort to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable and comfortable experience at our beaches and pool, please review the guidelines below:

• Beach loungers are assigned to guests when they are physically ready to occupy them, on a first come, first served basis. Loungers cannot be reserved at any time.

• There will be no hold on beach loungers during breakfast so that guests who wish to be at the pool in the early morning hours will have loungers available.

• We will hold your beach lougers for up to 2 hours, between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm, so that you may enjoy lunch in one of our restaurants.

• Please advise an attendant if you will be vacating your lounger to enjoy lunch so that it does not get reassigned to another guest.

• Unattended loungers outside of 11:30 am and 2:30 pm will be reassigned to other guests.

TENNIS

The tennis facility at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui features 2 tennis courts and tennis professionals to help you improve your game and make your tennis experience even more enjoyable. Please press the Resort transportation button on the telephone for transportation to the Tennis Centre and plan on leaving the villa 10 -15 minutes prior to your reservation.

Book a game of tennis at our flood-lit hard court, or attend one of the clinic sessions to perfect your stroke and power up your serve. Tennis lessons are 1 hour in length. Prior to your stay, the Festive Desk will be taking all advance tennis reservations. You may provide us with 3 preferred times; however, the same pro cannot be guaranteed for each class.

For additional tennis reservations during your stay, please contact Front Desk, no less than 24 hours in advance. The Tennis Centre also has “on your own” court time available. Guest can book tennis court once per day for one hour use.

Tennis court operating hours are from 7:00 am – 9:00 pm.

Stretching lengthwise along the hills of Koh Samui’s Northern coastline, this 18-hole golf course exists in blissful harmony with the island’s natural environment. KOH TAO AND KOH NANG YUANThese 2 small rocky islands are located Northwest of Koh Phangan. The islands earn their reputation for underwater marvels, unique beautiful bays and crystal clear waters.

SUNSET CRUISESWatch the sunset on board your own private catamaran whilst sipping wine coolers and cocktails. A guaranteed front row seat for a fantastic view, and a wonderful relaxing feeling from sailing along on the warm tropical seas.

MINOR AFFAIR AND SIAM SEAS EXPLORER Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui is proud to offer 2 exceptional boating options for your enjoyment. The 60-foot Sunseeker Minor Affair offers the highest level of luxury for exploring the waters around Koh Samui. In addition, the Resort has the brand new 42-foot Oryx Sport Cruiser Siam Seas Explorer available for charter, which is ideal for small groups to see the local islands or snorkel on the reefs in the Gulf. Mooring just off the coral reef in front of the Resort’s white sand beach, guests can charter Siam Seas Explorer or Minor Affair to explore the 40 islands of Southern Thailand’s Marine National Park, Koh Angthong and Koh Paluay; the Full Moon island of Koh Phangan and Koh Ma, or venture to Koh Tao and Nang Yuan with the clearest waters and diving in the Gulf of Siam.

Alternatively, guests can anchor off one of the remote deserted beaches for a day of leisure and relaxation. A traditional Thai lunch, soft drinks and fruit are included in the charter, and snorkeling gear is available on board free of charge. Day trips generally start at 9:30 am and guests return to the Resort around 4:30 pm; trips can be adjusted to suit guests’ preferences. Minor Affair can comfortably accommodate 12 guests, while Siam Seas Explorer can accommodate 6 persons. Suggested itineraries include Angthong National Marine Park, Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yuan, and Sunset Cruises.

DIVING OPTIONS FOR BEGINNERS

Discover Scuba Diving – a one-day introduction to the underwater world including 2 dives under the supervision of one of our experienced instructors to a maximum depth of 12 metres.

PADI Scuba Diver – a 2 day course which allows you to dive anywhere in the world with a PADI Professional, to a depth of 12 metres.

Open Water Diver – a 3 or 4 day course which gives a lifetime certification for you to dive anywhere in the world with a certified buddy.

DIVINGWe partner with one of the best dive companies on the island, 100 Degrees East, offering a full range of PADI Dive Courses. The Gulf of Thailand has over 30 dive sites charted in the area, from deep water pinnacles to shallow coral gardens, to rocky points complete with swim-throughs. Koh Tao, Sail Rock and Chumphon Pinnacle are world-class sites that attract whale sharks, mantas and huge schools of fish.

BUBBLEMAKER

You’re never too young to explore the underwater world. Our Bubblemaker course guides little ones aged 8 years and older in basic underwater breathing techniques in the safety of our swimming pool.

KIDS FOR ALL SEASONSOur popular complimentary Kids For All Seasons programme, for children between the ages of 4 and 12, is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Taking advantage of the Resort’s tropical environment and beautiful beach, it features fun-packed outdoor activities as well as creative crafts and games. From crab and seashell hunting to Thai umbrella painting and gel candle making, these supervised programmes create memorable and educational experiences in a casual, fun environment.

Although the hub of activity is morning on the beach and the Kids’ Club in the afternoon, kids quickly realise that the entire Resort is their playground – especially the buggies. The fun never stops in Koh Samui!

Kids between 4 and 12 years old are also invited to be part of our Theme Parties and Movie Nights. This is a great alternative for fun in the evening, enjoying our games and music. Come and be prepared for all sorts of surprises during our parties. For children who prefer something more relaxing, Movie Nights under the stars are a great way to kick back.

From festive card making to Christmas stocking and ornament making, as well as decorating the tree for the Kids’ Club Christmas party, we have plenty to keep the young ones busy. CHILD CARE ARRANGEMENTS

Child care arrangements can be made through our Festive Desk. Due to the high number of requests during this time, the following policies will be in effect:

• All child care requests will need to be made prior to your stay with the Festive Desk.

• We accept a maximum of 2 children per babysitter.

• Please be aware that babysitters will be subject to availability. If you need to change any prior reservations, we will try our best to accommodate the request.

• Child Care reservations should be cancelled 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so will result in a full charge.

NATHON

All government offices and banks are located in Nathon and it is the primary point of connection with the mainland and the other islands. Shopping here is less expensive than in Chaweng or Lamai, and there are lots of interesting knick-knacks on sale. Most shops are on the inland road, which is one-way heading South. However, the ocean road has a number of good restaurants for breakfast or lunch, and the teak shophouse-lined middle road gives a glimpse into Samui’s local world.

FISHERMAN’S VILLAGE IN BOPHUT

Bophut is the most charming village on Samui and is made up of a single strip of old Chinese style shophouses, many converted into restaurants, bars, shops and guesthouses. A great spot for a romantic beachside dinner, here are some of the island’s top notch restaurants.

KOH SAMUI

CHAWENG

Chaweng is the longest white sand beach and biggest town on Samui. You can find anything from 5-star luxury to the few budget bungalows that remain from Samui’s days as a backpacker’s haven. The Night Market is at the start of the strip, then it is a stretch of clubs, bars and restaurants. Chaweng remains “party central” and the name itself stirs the hearts of international fun-makers. Infamous for fun, frolics and the best techno, rave, house, and ambient DJ music.

THE SOUTHWEST COAST

This area has seen the least change of any on the island. As though time has stood still, it is a place far removed from urban Chaweng. With traditional Southern style long-houses standing in compounds, long-tail fishing boats and an indigenous lifestyle, this is the real Samui.

Throughout its history, Koh Samui has been simply a beautiful yet obscure island, sparsely populated and virtually unknown. Many people have come to Koh Samui with the sole intention of working on their tan and reading beach novels. These folks have occasionally found themselves taken under the spell of Koh Samui only to realise they are unable to return to their old way of life back home. Meanwhile, enjoy every precious moment of this island life while you can as Samui allows you to relax and feel things you just can’t feel at home, or at least not in the same way. Beyond the sands of time are the golden rays of the sun, the white sand between your toes, the music of the waves and the sounds of the jungle.

OFF SITE RECREATION

A FLAVOUR OF SAMUI

Whether you get around Samui by foot, elephant, motorcycle or car, you will find a wealth of natural beauty and cosmopolitan luxury. However, we suggest that you rent a car and discover that Samui is basically divided into beaches, and each one has its very own special atmosphere and attractions. The island is small enough to drive around in about 1 hour, but at the same time it is big enough to keep people busy and interested for months! Samui’s natural environment is one of its biggest assets. The tropical vegetation, the azure seas, the soft sand beaches, cascading waterfalls and dramatic mountain scenery combine to impress even the most world-weary traveller.

NIKKI BEACH

Located on the West coast and in complete seclusion along the shores of Lipa Noi, this is an ideal setting mixed with Nikki Beach’s signature chic and sexy style. The Sunset Terrace Lounge lends sensational views to one of Thailand’s best sunsets, while the pool below provides a refreshing escape before the sun sinks below the horizon.

Spend the day sipping champagne on the signature day beds while ordering à la carte from the Global Cuisine menu. Approximately 20 minutes from the Resort.

CANOPY ADVENTUREFor the most extreme and exciting adventure, not only on Koh Samui but perhaps anywhere in the world, don’t miss the Canopy Adventure at Secret Falls. This adventure tour does not require any previous experience or great athletic ability to enjoy. All you need is enough strength for a firm handshake. Minimal climbing is involved, but the most amazing views and an adrenalin rush are guaranteed!

ADRENALIN RUSHKite-boarding, wind-surfing, jet-ski, ATV Adventure and go-karting are all available within a 30-minute drive from the Resort. And don’t miss StarZ Club Samui in Chaweng - entertainment in Thailand is like no other in the world!

Cabaret in Thailand is made up mainly of Kathoeys, or “ladyboys”. Koh Samui is filled with a large number of nightclubs, but if you are interested in watching cabaret dance performances, then you should definitely pay a visit to StarZ Club.

THE BUDDHISM EXPERIENCEKoh Samui is known for its magnificent white sand beaches and its coconuts, but it also shelters an incredible Buddhist culture. From numerous coloured temples to antique statues by way of the mummified monk, Samui will amaze you with a number of curiosities for you to discover.
