FOLK DANCING by Jensen and Jensen is a valuable book not only describing agood number of dances but giving many many helpful hints on general folkdancing not found anywhere else. Well written, many photographs. $4.95

SQUARE DANCING by Jensen and Jensen is the square dance counterpart of theabove book. Especially useful for schools and teachers desiring a basic work­ing ~nowledge of American square dancing. $4.95

THIS IS BALLROOM DANCE by Lois Ellfeldt and Virgil L. Morton is the finestusable book on ballroom dance we carry; covers all aspects of ballroom frombeginning of the century, listing dozens of fad dances, bringing one to thepresent. Detailed notes and descriptions for dances such as the waltz, tango,fox trot, rumba, swing, samba of course, plus many more. 114 pp. $3.95

A STEP TO KIMONO AND KUMIHIMO (published in Japan) covers Japanese folk dressand folk arts. 120 glossy pages, practically all with colored photos illustra­ting steps in putting on a kimono, and wearing and folding it. GREEK FOLK DANCES by Rickey Holden and Mary Vouras (third printing)the most definitive work on Greek folk dances available. Contains over150 dance descriptions, complete with music and valuable informationand notes necessary for appreciation of Greek music and dance. $8.95

BULGARIAN FOLK DANCE by Katzarova-Kukudova, Kiril Djenev was originallypublished in Bulgarian. Now this English edition is in print. Include§dances of all parts of Bulgaria, complete with music, diagrams, descrip­tions, drawings, photographs, and a wealth of folklore knowledge. $7.50

CROATIANS, DANCES THEY DANCE pUblished by the Duquesne Univ. DUTIFA con­tains music and descriptions for 12 familiar Croatian kolo dances, withmany many pictures, drawings, photos. Priced at $3.50. Also available isan LP record with the 12 dances for which this book was prepared at $7.98

SIXTY FOLK DANCES OF ROMANIA by Eugenia Popescu-Judetz, English transla­tion by Fredda Seidenbaum and Dick Crum contains 60 dances from all partsof Romania witten in the dance notation developed by Gheorghe Popescu­Judetz. Contains map, pronunciation guide, background and historical notes,information on dance types, rhythms, calls, dance style notes, the musicfor each dance, variations, and drawings. 250 pages, 8~ xlI, $24.00

JUDETZ FOLK DANCE NOTATION describes the system created by Gh. Popescu­Judetz, edited and revised by Eugenia Popescu-Judetz and James Roncevic.This companion book is the key to the preceeding book and is full of draw­ings, music, and notes helpful in learning the system. Included are sampledescriptions together with comparative conventional descriptions, excercisesand tests, glossary of terms, and bibliography. 68 pp., 8~ xlI, $7.95

REGIONAL DANCES OF MEXICO by Edith Johnston describes ten Mexican dancesincluding La Costilla, Los Viejitos, La Botella, El Jarabe Tapatio, etc.with over 20 illustrations and music for each dance. Much interesting back­ground notes valuable to the teacher needing Mexican material. $3.98

STOCKTON FOLK DANCE CAMP SYLLABI are probably the largest collections ofdance descriptions as presented at the California camp annually since 1947.Average syllabus will contain at least 100 dances, square dance and contracalls, as presented that year, truly a real folk dance yearbook. Loose-leaf,with errata, expertly written. THE FOLK ARTS OF YUGOSLAVIA is a bound 8~ x 11 book containing the paperspresented at a symposium of Yugoslav folk arts at Duquesne University byauthorities in their fields from Yugoslavia.
