Welcome to the International Institute’s 16th annual Festival of Nations…our region’s largest multicultural event! Festival of Nations is brought to you by the International Institute of St. Louis. Since 1919, we have been the St. Louis region’s Welcoming Center for New Americans. To learn more about us, visit our website at www.iistl.org.

This year, we are featuring fun-filled entertainment on three stages and around the grounds. Catch professional-level dance and music troupes. Join in on toe-tapping, foot-stomping music performances featuring local ethnic and international favorites. Watch our Japanese top-spinner perform gravity-defying tricks as he moves around the festival grounds.
As always, entertainment at Festival of Nations is free for all to enjoy - thanks to our sponsors. A very special thanks to our presenting sponsor, Wells Fargo Advisors! To enhance your experience, check out …
The Wells Fargo Advisors Forest Stage, with different ethnic performance troupes each hour. It is located on a shady hill in Festival Center.
The Village Green in grassy Festival East, where you can join in and learn to dance!
The 7-Up World Music Stage, in Festival West with traditional and modern bands.
Our Enterprise Grand Stage in Festival East with a mix of great bands, dancers and singers.
Ethnic craft demonstrations, calligraphy, children’s crafts, an ethnic gift bazaar, and much, much more! And, of course…

INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ST. LOUIS FESTIVAL OF NATIONS 201618 7
About UsSince 1919, the International Institute of St. Louis has been helping immigrants and their families be productive Americans and championing ethnic diversity as a cultural and economic strength.
Our headquarters facility is located at the southern edge of our city’s thriving International District. We are a proud member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, the St. Louis Regional Chamber, and the US Committee for Immigrants and Refugees.
Our Three Pillars of ServiceThe International Institute of St. Louis offers comprehensive adjustment services for refugees and immigrants in our community. In turn, these newcomers expand the richness of St. Louis’ diversity and help revitalize our economy.
Pillar 1: Immersion The Institute offers a variety of social and educational programs to alleviate poverty among some of our newest residents. Today, the Institute reaches more than 7,500 new Americans from 80 countries with a broad array of integrative services, including English classes, job placement, counseling and social work, refugee resettlement, translation and interpretation.
Pillar 2: Investment Immigrant entrepreneurs are valuable members of any city’s economy. The Institute offers technical assistance and micro-loans as well as urban gardening. In turn, immigrant entrepreneurs help revitalize the St. Louis economy.
Pillar 3: InclusionThe Institute produces the annual Festival of Nations, which showcases multicultural performances, demonstrations, and food. Offered free to the general public, the festival draws 100,000+ visitors together while raising money and awareness for people in need.
Together we can write success storiesJoin us in helping immigrants and refugees become independent and valuable contributors to the St. Louis community. Their presence results in a better St. Louis for us all.
