Since 2010, the festival has shared its passion for the marvelous and imaginary with a large and diverse audience. Our festival is an invitation to escape and enjoy oneself, even for just a few days. We create
opportunities of networking regarding cinema, nature, wonderful and digital technology. We also promote access to culture for all.
The 5th Festival of The Film Merveilleux & Imaginaire has been organized with the Support of The French commission of UNESCO ( patronage ).

T H E F E S T I VA L
The Festival promotes movies celebrating the imagination, the wonder and the magic from all over the world. It is 4 programs an international short film compétition, Le quart d’heure américain, the Kaléidoscope and Movies around the world.
The Festival include film screenings, cocktail’s, digital art exhibition, photo shoot, networking events including a speed-meeting event for professionals in the music and film industries, and fun workshops/screening/ fairytales reading for kids (nature and technology).
T H E C O M P E T I T I O N
This is a unique festival that celebrates the marvelous, dreams, the imaginary, the magical, the mystical, the legendary, fable, fairy tales, poetry, the supernatural, comics, manga, the fantastic, science fiction, and video gaming.
The film festival is commited to support artistic creation. The association is a professional springboard for young film artists of tomorrow. The activities promote professional meet-ups and cultural exchanges. The festival also helps in the promotion and distribution of film works from the whole world, facilitates inter-professional meetings and helps encourage the emergence of young talent. Registering a film for our festival is free!

K A L E I D O S C O P E
For our “Kaléidoscope” event, our academic partners can appreciate the matinee programming we’ve crafted just for them.
The “Kaleidoscope”, is a non-competitive section. The goal is to help rediscover our different cultures and our planet. With the kaleidoscope we promote the cultural artistic varieties of the world and their civilizations in a fun and magical way.
The Kaleidoscope exposes and shares the magic and beauty of this world as we seek to discover and rediscover through the eyes of children, the beauty and the richness of our world and our civilisations.
M O V I E S A R O U N D T H E W O R L D
With our new programme, Movies Around the World, the Festival du Film Merveilleux will travel to offer children all around the world the see preview showings of films.
From Perth to London, as well as New York City, the children will be able to see the films and vote for their favourite.
The viewings will also be an opportunity for us to invite film makers to speak about their work with the young spectators.
Q U A R T D ’ H E U R E A M E R I C A I N
The "Quart d'heure americain" is a competitive independant american movies programme. It is a short film screening featuring independent american films. Our festival aims to promote american independent cinema and up and coming american film creators. As the highlight of our annul festival, we propose a projection of several short films written and produced by american writers and artists..

The 2015 Festival du Film Merveilleux poster was made with the collaboration of two young talented artists, the Romanian magician/ photographer Ionut Caras and our young talented graphic designer Jessica Bianconi (notably the creator of the festival logo)

We organizes several professional gatherings and screening each year. These gatherings encourage discussion among participants within the film industry.. Each year, we strive to screen more and more films from past participants of the Festival du Film Merveilleux, and give featured film directors the chance to show their work abroad.
Also we can organize for you : screening, avant première, digital and educationnal workshops, fairy-tales reading around our favorite theme the wonder and imagination.
