Tour of BritainThe UK largest professional cycling race is
coming to Northumberland in 2015.
On the 9th September Northumberland will host a prestigious stage finish of the Tour of Britain, which will include a day of celebratory activity and the drama of the world's top cyclists racing for the line. The following day, 10th September, the race will start again in the county, meaning that residents and visitors will be able to enjoy two days of elite sport in Northumberland.
Each year The Tour attracts some of the world's top cyclists to compete on British roads, home favourites like Mark Cavendish, Geraint Thomas, Ed Clancy and Sir Bradley Wiggins having all taken part previously.
Further details about the route, competitors and other official announcements will be made closer to the race date, so keep checking the website for more information.
