Campaign in progress against commingled collection as EU Regulations state materials must be collected separately
Judicial review decision was due in June but has been delayed at the request of DEFRA
Unlikely commingled collections will cease as huge investment has been made in the infrastructure
Overview
In May UK Government announced changes to the Packaging Waste Regulations for glass
From 2013 no more than 650,000 tonnes per year will be allowed to go for non-remelt uses
Differential PRN prices will exist for remelt and non-remelt uses
