BOMBAY TEAM:

Virtual: This section does not use the machines, but is done physically. The employee will have a chosen division that’s either WO (women’s), ME, WA, etc.. Then you scan each box. The scanner will lead you to which crate it belongs to and how many it needs. When section is finish, you close each box and put it on the line.

Induction: Use of machines, faster than virtual and most used. You have three levels: The first level scans the box and throws the clothes down to the middle employee. The middle employee puts a cloth into each passing crate, and then presses the complete button to move to the next box of clothes. The bottom employee closes the boxes when it is full and puts it on the line.

Packing: This job requires to clean and cover old labels on the white boxes for the virtual and induction to use. Making sure they are in stock

Each employee is required to rotate and learn all jobs on the Bombay.

Picking: Scanning invoice to pick items that are in my section, to put in a tote so the packagers can pack it.

Bagger: Bagging small mail, making sure they are sealed tight and separating the mail on how they are sent, for example: innovations, lightweight, post mail, usps express, 2 day air, etc...
