ARGENTINA OPEN TALKING POINTS

• For the 1st time since 2008 (David Nalbandian and Juan Monaco) two Argentinians will be the two main seeds at the Argentina Open. Diego Schwartzman will try to win his 3rd clay court title after Istanbul 2016 (d. Dimitrov) and Rio de Janeiro 2018 (d. Verdasco) while Guido Pella will try to win his 2nd after Sao Paulo 2019 (d. Garin).

• Three of the Golden Swing Top10 Win Leaders of the past decade will appear in the 2020 Argentina Open. Albert Ramos-Vinolas is yet to win a title in the Swing but he is tournament wins leader in the draw with 11 victories.

• 15 of the 28 players already have at least a career title on clay. Casper Ruud is the only seed yet to win an ATP title but clay has been the Norwegian best surface so far with 60% win ratio (29-19).

• Slovakia will be third country for representatives in the draw after Argentina and Spain with two qualifiers (Horansky and Kovalik) and one special exempt (Martin). The last time three Slovakians played in the same draw was October 2014 in Vienna with Lukas Lacko as direct acceptance, Miloslav Mecir as qualifier and Norbert Gombos as lucky loser.

• 2019 champions Maximo Gonzalez and Horacio Zeballos split up and will try to defend their doubles title with two different partners. Gonzalez will team up with the 2019 Roland Garros runner-up Fabrice Martin while Zeballos will continue his successful partnership with two-time Buenos Aires doubles champion Marcel Granollers.
