In addition to our GSA Schedule 70, we are a certified SDVOSB and the FAR was modified to allow a contracting officer to consider a contract award to a SDVOSB concern on a sole source bases before considering small business set-asides for up to $3.5 million. The FAR clause Section 19.1406 Sole Source awards to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns, was modified and published on January 29, 2013. This was modified for several reasons but one was to assist Federal Government Agencies to help maintain or reach their goal for 5 percent of the total value of all applicable information technology contracts to SDVOSBs as the target set by the White House.
