• Family driven;• Decentralized and participative management; Social
control;• Adhesion of 5.525 municipalities (99,3%), 26 states
(100%) and the Federal District;• Management is organized considering the size of
municipalities, geographic regions, territory (at local level) and complexity of services.

Social Assistance Benefits
• Continuous Cash Benefit Programme (BPC)• Constitutional right;• No conditionalities;• Grants 1 minimum wage to disabled or aged (65+) people,
who are unable to work and whose per capita family income is inferior to ¼ of the minimum wage (~U$286)
• 1.722.093 disabled beneficiaries and 1.593.678 aged people
• Eventual benefits (birth, death, calamity, temporary vulnerability)
