David’s favorite area is Math. He
loves to play the “Magic Slide” using
the wooden numerals to name all of
the places of the large numbers he
forms. He chooses the knobble cylin-
ders in the Sensorial area, which is
another of his favorite works where
he differentiates sizes, varying in
height or diameter. He often enters
into a focused a state of concentra-
tion and normalization during the
work cycle. He is a great and lovely friend with
a kind heart who is willing to assist
friends when they need help.
When David grows up, he said “I
want to be a farmer because farmers
feed the animals and water plants.”
Lynn McMillan
has attended
Los Niños Mon-
tessori Program
since August
2017. She is a
sweet and polite
student.
Lynn is very or-
ganized and follows rules and directions.
She began learning and blending letter
sounds and is currently reading three-
letter words with short vowel sounds.
Every morning, she uses the mobile al-
phabet box to spell words and then moves
to the Math area where she works with
symbols and quantities. She has been
learning greater than, less than, and
equal to number concepts.
In the Practical Life Area, Lynn uses
works such as spooning, lacing, and
playdough to refine her skills. She
loves books, enjoys painting on the
easel, drawing, and can write her
name.
Lynn is very friendly, helpful, kind,
and respectful. She always models
the appropriate behavior. Lynn also
uses materials with care and restores
them back to their corresponding
space. Even though Lynn enjoys the
company of some of her classmates,
she is always nice and plays with
everyone.
Lynn McMillan says she would like to
become a doctor when she grows up.
