Shelving for Logistics is La Fortezza s original business sector. Consistent with the Groupʼs values, the Logistics division is constantly searching for innovative solutions in order to improve its performance. Lightweight and heavy-duty shelving and compactable mobile archives are the main range of products currently produced by La Fortezzaʼs Logistics division.

La Fortezza was founded in 1962 as a shelving manufacturer for Logistics in Scarperia (Florence). In the 80 s the Group embarked on a path of growth in the domestic market of large retailers through a series of strategic acquisitions. Since 1995 it has expanded overseas and factories and sales offices have been set up in Europe and other continents. Since 2001 the company began an important stage of product development and supply of services that has lead the Group to become today a partner of the most important groups in worldwide distribution.

In 2016 the company became part of the ITAB Group, a Swedish multinational company,
one of the main European suppliers of shop fittings, checkouts and lighting systems, and
both ITAB and La Fortezza share a common market vision as well as the same mission in
guaranteeing the best shop experience for its clients.

The company pays particular attention to innovation and strives to expand its range of accessories and specialised structures, constantly adapting its shelving to new display and layout requirements. With an active policy towards R & D, La Fortezza dedicates considerable importance to the human resources employed in its technical office and to the use of the best industrial technologies.

La Fortezza Group favours the use of metal for its products and the Company s know-how in the use of this material is unique and distinctive. Metal can be 100% recycled and producing metal items as an alternative to wood means considerable savings as well as tree conservation, thereby eliminating the need to use often toxic glue, not in line with an eco-green approach.

quality in compliance with ISO 9001 standards, and obtained quality certification in 1996. In 2009 La Fortezza was awarded its first certificate
as a Group for conformity to ISO 9001 international rules for its plants in France, Argentina and Italy.
