Driving Range

• Objective: Safety of the people of the golf course

• Who is at Risk?: Members, Guests and Staff• Goal: Enhance the overall practice experience

and correcting safety measures• Consulting: Developed a study of range

activity and proposed various options for improvements.

Turf Management & Water

• Goal: Provide exceptional playing conditions for the golf season.

• All practices of turf management are being evaluated.• Water: Obtain enough water to maintain health of plants

for the growing season.• Fertilizer: Organic fertilizer to build soil health and not over

stimulate plant growth that depends on more water.• Height of Cut:

– Plan A: Increase the amount of low maintenance areas.– Plan B: secondary rough: 3.5-4” tee surrounds, property lines

and out of play areas.

Turf Management & Water

• Seed: Fescues and warm season grasses– Buffalograss at the tennis courts. Ptarmigan CC is

having success with Buffalograss and lower water requirements.

• Traffic Management: Continue to review golfer and cart traffic throughout the golf season.

• Irrigation Practices: handwater, wetting agents and soil amendments, water/drought management plans for limited water use.
