If you love books, love to talk about them, but don’t want to be tied in to a specific title to read, join us for We’re Talk-ing About Books!
Unlike traditional book clubs, there will be no assigned book. Rather, we will select a broad topic and readers will choose their own book to read. The only suggestion is that the book be related to the topic. For instance, our topic for our first meeting in February is Food.
Fiction, nonfiction, a book with food in the title, a novel that contains recipes, a main character who loves to eat, a food critic’s memoir—it’s up to you.
Simply read your book and come prepared to talk a bit about it. It’s all informal and everyone will leave with plenty of reading suggestions. With food as the topic, refreshments will be served of course! Register at the Reference Desk.

Dreams are the language of the Inner life. Discover what your dreams are trying to tell you. Join us as Spiritual Coach Saren O’Hara pre-sents a Dream Interpretation Workshop at the Melrose Park Public Library on Wednesday, March 14 at 7pm
We will be going over the types of dreams people have and what the significance of these dreams could be in your waking life.
Dreams talk to us in symbols and stories and this is not a direct method of communication. Learn what your dreams might mean and how your dreams are about you and the world you are living in.
While all attendees are encouraged to bring samples of your dreams to discuss, it is not mandatory that you do so.
Ms. O’hara will provide tips
and clues that are designed to help you interpret your dreams and explain how you can use your dreams to help you in your waking hours.
