February Worship
We will celebrate Communion on Feb 6 with a different format in our worship ser-vices. You will enjoy the various faith stories that you hear that day. We focus on how “God’s People get Involved” in the life of the community through some stories from the book of Acts on the other Sundays. Be on the lookout for some practical ways to share faith.

February 2011. I am thinking about spiritual
goals. February seems like a good month to do this.
Often we are not ready to set our spiritual goals
(reading scripture, how we will focus prayer time, giving
financially in new ways, serving the needs of ministry,
or witnessing to our faith) on January 1. So February
can be a good month to do this.
February is the month when Lent begins most
years and it gives a reminder to focus our faith with
some spiritual practices. (This year Lent and Ash Wed don’t begin until March
9, almost the latest it can be.) So, Lent will be something to look forward to in
the next month.
So let February be a month to catch your breath, set your goals (if you
haven’t done so) and begin taking new steps to a closer walk with Christ.
Right in the middle of the month (14th) is a good time to show in some
practical way, or in some generous way, those that you love that you are glad
they are in your life.
May you enjoy this month and be a blessing to others. See you in wor-
ship where we seek to bless our Lord.
In Christ’s Love, Ted

Glow Meals Extended!
The casserole ministry for 2011 is underway! Whether just getting home from the hospital or from a nursing home, we at First Church want to help. Please contact the church office or myself if you would like a member of our congregation to call upon you (or someone you know) as part of our church ministry. We also need more volunteers to make this important ministry work! If you would like to be put on the call list, please contact our church office, or you can call me at 260.925.5319. Thank you, Pam Anspaugh Casserole Ministry
The Wednesday evening GLOW meals have been extended through May 25 for the Wednesday activities that continue through the Spring. We have need of additional groups or individuals to serve. The GLOW calendar is on the bulletin board in the Fel-lowship Hall and we ask you to check with your group so you can add your name to the schedule for these additional meals! If you have questions about GLOW meal schedul-ing, please contact Kathy Hardy.
On February 7, we will be re-keying the outside doors of the church. If you are an opener, clos-er, or church leader who
needs a key for your ministry, you will need to stop by the church to sign out your new church key after that date. Keys will still be available for you to sign out for one-time events if needed. If you have questions re-garding the key policy or the re-keying, please contact Maintenance Supervisor Bill Kobiela.

Kids’ definition of “love” on Valentine’s Day in Sunday school, via Lowell Yoder, Holland, OH: “Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.” —Herbert, 6 “There are two kinds of love. Our love. God’s love. But God makes both of them.” —Mary, 5 “If you want to love better, you should start with a friend you hate.” —Jimmy, 7 from JoyfulNoiseletter.com Reprinted with permission
