Greetings friends, family, and partners in ministry: This January has been a full and awesome start to the new year! It was a year ago that I first began my journey serving the poor & homeless with The Relief Bus, and I will never be the same. Thank you for all your encouragement, interest, support, and prayers as I took the plunge into full time ministry. Yikes! The Don’t Walk By outreach (www.dontwalkby.org) has been the focus this month. I have been documenting the event in photos, which is a huge blessing becuase I get a wide perspective of the whole outreach. A woman named Susan (see top photo, 2nd pg) is a prime example of this. Some Relief Bus staff & volunteers met her on the street at one of our locations friday and referred her to Don’t Walk By on saturday. She made her way to the Chinatown location and was received by kind volunteers and then sat down to talk with a program rep from Teen Challenge and Bill Hoffman (VP of The Relief Bus). They talked with her and she broke down as God touched her. After praying together they found a place for Susan to stay off the street! Before leaving Susan paused for a few photos and her eyes were bright with tears as she tried to contain them. Pray for Susan as she is at the beginning of a journey of life transformation through Jesus!
