FUGU (1 of 4)
1. Launch Fugu from the Applications folder
2. Enter Connect to: colby0
3. Enter your network username
4. Click Connect

5. Enter your network password
6. Click Authenticate

7. The left-hand column displays files on your computer, the right-hand column displays files on the web server
8. To upload to your personal directory double click on public_html

10. On the left-hand side, browse to the file you want to upload
11. Drag the file from the left-hand column to the right-hand column
12. Transfer is complete

1. Launch Fetch from the Applications folder
2. Enter the Host name: colby0
3. Enter your network username
4. Choose SFTP from the Connect using pull-down
5. Enter your network password

7. To upload to your personal directory double click on public_html
8. Click Put in the toolbar

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Client
• Software designed to transfer files back-and-forth between two computers over the Internet
• Classic FTP Client look is a two-pane design– Left displays the files on your computer– Right displays the files on the remote computer
• File transfers are as easy as dragging-and-dropping files from one pane to the other

Transfer Options
• MAC users (slides appended at end)– FUGU
or– Fetch
• Windows users– SSH Secure File Transfer Client (preferred)
or– WS-FTP

SSH (1 of 5)
To install:
1. Go to Start -> Run
2. Type \\fileserver1
3. Browse to \\fileserver1\Software\Windows\SSH client
4. Double click on the executable SSHSecureShellClient-3.2.9.exe
5. Complete the installation process following the default settings

• Launch WS_FTP95LE from the Start -> Programs menu
• Click New • Enter Profile Name:
Colby • Enter the Host Name:
colby0 • Enter your network
username and password
• Click OK
