The 2008 BMW 5 Series. In the newly sculpted 535i Sedan, our inline six with twin turbos has been enhanced to an unprecedented 300 horsepower.
While the 550i Sedans Valvetronic system allows the 360-horsepower V-8 engine to breathe easier. As a result, power and fuel efficiency are maximized in both
of these engines. Of course, the 5 Series is loaded with refinements that add to the cars driving dynamics, safety and sporty good looks. Why did we do
so much? As an independent company, theres no one to tell us otherwise.

Well break ground on our new hospital Feb. 14, but
our history in Memphis goes back more than 50 years.
To commemorate this historic event, we invite you to
share your Le Bonheur story with us. Visit
lebonheur.org/mystoryto tell us about your
experience and help us celebrate our hospitals legacy
of caring for the children of the Mid-South.

The new year just began, and February has alreadycrept into the picture. I
guess a month spent over-hauling last years diehardhabits and begrudgingly tak-ing down over-the-top holidaydcor makes the time fly by.On the flip side, waking up
with a newfound sense of selfand to a clean house (Does aspotless living room qualifyas a clean house?) was per-fect preparation for thismonths spirit of compassion
and remembrance.In addition to the
always anticipated or everdreaded Valentines Day, February entails Groundhog Day;Charles Dickens Day; Black History Month; and the birthdaysof national heroes like Susan B. Anthony, George Washington,Abraham Lincoln, and Thomas Edison. Though a slightlymore obscure observation, Congress has required the presidentto declare February American Heart Month since 1963.Cardiovascular disease remains the nations leading killer formen and women, making it all the more crucial to fundresearch through events like the Wild at Heart Gala onFebruary 2 at The Peabody.
Physical well-being couldnt be more serious, but manywill experience heart problems in a different sense. Breakups, long lost romances, memories of deceased loved onesyou getthe idea. Everyone has been there one time or another, but thehurt grows deeper when those around you experience pure
jubilation at the sight of the first flower deliveryman on the14th. With that said, I urge each and every one of you to rel-ish the good times, which are often fleeting, and find an outletto fulfill any emotional void.
RSVPis a good introduction to diverse philanthropicopportunities. The magazine upholds its commitment to cover-ing non-profit events and the people who champion worthycauses in hopes of inspiring anyone who has heart or needsto mend a broken one. Placing yourself in less advantageousenvironments will transform the way you see the everyday
world, and maybe youll even forget there were any problemsin the first place.
Need some more motivation? Check out the VoxPopular with Meredith Walsh. This amazing woman hasntturned 30 yet, but her benevolence and bravery helpingrefugees in Thailand far outweighs any preconceived notionthat wisdom only comes with age. It seems my treasure hunthas begunMemphis hidden gems are getting shinier by thesecond!
