Chic was formed in the late seventies by Nile ROdgeRs and the late Bernard Edwards. They dominated the disco era with huge hit singles and albums on both sides of the Atlantic. In addition Rodgers worked as a songwriter and producer for the likes of Sister Sledge (“We Are Family”), Diana Ross (“I’m Coming Out”), David Bowie (“Let’s Dance”), Madonna (“Like A Virgin”) and many more. In the nineties the band reunited up until the sad death of Bernard Edwards in 1996, since when Nile Rodgers has continued to give audiences around the world “good times”.

shANe MAcgOWAN first came to prominence as the frontman and principal songwriter of The Pogues, writing huge international hits such as “Fairytale Of New York” and “The Irish Rover”. After splitting from the band in 1991 he reappeared with a new band, The Popes, who released their debut album “The Snake” in 1995. During the tour to support the release of their album, Shane and The Popes played Montreux in July 1995. The show combines tracks from the “Snake” album with Pogues classics such as “If I Should Fall From Grace With God,” “Streams Of Whiskey,” “A Pair Of Brown Eyes” and “The Irish Rover” along with a rousing version of the “Hippy Hippy Shake” that’s so good they have to play it twice!

chThONic is a Taiwanese metal band originally formed in 1995, with the existing line-up having been together since 2005. Their music blends metal with traditional Chinese instruments and lyrically they are influenced by Taiwan’s mythology, Taoist folk beliefs and the country’s labyrinthine history. Each of their albums is a complete and conceptual story. They are renowned for their costumes, make-up and highly visual stage shows. They are also well-known for their outspoken political views on human rights, Taiwanese independence and women’s rights. “Ián-Bú” was filmed at a festival in Taiwan in the summer of 2013 and features several tracks from their most recent album “Bú-Tik,” released in Europe by Spinefarm and the DVD also includes the promo videos for five tracks from the album amongst the bonus features.
