Featuring Mr. Chander Shekher Srivastava, Accounts ManagerMr. Chander has been associated with the cause for more than 12years now. He started working with us as a Child Counsellor andthen sailed through various designations within the organization.Today, he handles the accounts department at India VisionFoundation. He believes that there is no bigger service than servingthe destitute. Therefore, he tries his level best to help through hismulti-tasking.
Project Kiran with Temask Polytechnic, SingaporeOur first of its kind Culture Exchange programme with Temasek Polytechnic, Singaporewhere10 students from diverse fields spent timewith 22 girls from Assisi convent under theirvoluntary community service programme -Project Kiran under the leadership of Ms. AmyAmrita Daga & Mr. Justin. This 5 day learningprogramme helped our children to boost theirmorale & confidence and also interact withindividuals coming from diverse backgrounds.Project Kiran gave our children a chance tobecome the Cultural Ambassadors byaccompanying Temasek Polytechnic students to ashort one day trip to Agra Fort & Taj Mahal. Our children not only benefited from the trip notonly in terms of information about these heritage sites, but also gained a lot of exposurethrough interaction with the students.
To our new beginnings with Kasna PrisonMoving towards touching more lives, we are happy to announceour association with Kasna Prison. We marked our firstcollaboration with initiation of Project DHUN in association withSony Pictures Networks India Pvt Ltd. for male inmates. Dr. KiranBedi, Founder India Vision Foundation inaugurated the first MusicTraining program.

Enriching sessions conducted by Mr. Deepak Ramola and his team with beneficiaries oftheFoundation from Dasna, Gurugram & FaridabadPrison. Deepak, Founder of PROJECT FUEL is amotivational speaker, and has been featured with TEDtalks; he believes in deriving inspiration from ordinarylives and creatively designs them into series of lifelessons. Deepak is a multi-talented individual who is alsoa lyricist, actor, journalist, script analyst, screenplay writerand educator. We are happy to associate with PROJECTFUEL and extend our heartfelt gratitude to the membersof the team for being a part of this amazing exercise.
Dasna Visit by Dr. Manju Shiwach, MLA, Modinagar
This visit was facilitated by our Inside Prison Projectteam. Dr. Manju was very impressed by seeing theactivities run by the foundation inside the prison. Sheappreciated the work and also interacted with the inmates.Such appreciations and visits keep us motivated!

Ms. Amy Amrita Daga is a Senior Lecturerat Centre for TransCultural Studies &Manager International Relations –Programmes & Services from TemasekPolytechnic, Singapore. She interacted withthe beneficiaries and shared a very goodfeedback. She said “ I am awestruck,overwhelmed & thoroughly impressed by theawesome work of IVF. This is a superb efforttowards sustainable & corrective measures.”
Our children are the happiest when they meettheir parents inside prison. This monthRimisha, Gopal & Srishti came to meet theirparents. During, this meet Gopal got achance to meet his elder brother and uncletoo.

With the rising no. of rape cases our counsellor Ms. Ruby Guptadecided to take a session with inmates and talk about " Aboutrelevance of good upbringing and how this practise cancontribute in minimizing these crimes."
World Earth DayWe celebrated World Earth Day in Tihar. 80 inmates were a part of this celebrationthatincluded Awareness session, Essay & Painting competition.Further, a small video with a plantation drive was done. Inmatesalso took pledge to use water efficiently and motivate otherinmates to do the same inside the prison vicinity.

Residential School Programme
Towards New Beginnings...This year the project has received more than seventy (70) applications from the imprisonedmothers in Tihar, Dasna and Gurugram prisons for admission oftheir children in Residential School programme with Asha DeepFoundation. We were successfully able to complete 68 home visitsout of this no. 58 children will be shortlisted for the admissionbased on a selection criteria.

Career counselling session with 10th and 12th class childrenNine children who have been waiting for their 10th board exam result with five children whohave been waiting for their 12th class board exam result were gathered for this counsellingsession. These sessions were done separately on two days and aimed to help individuals to plantheir future with realistic goals and effective strategies. Most of the senior students expressedtheir anxiety on high fee of colleges for admission. For which they were suggested many waysincluding seeking admission in central universities and other educational & vocational coursesrun by the government. Further they were also suggested name of some private institutes whereproject children can get scholarship.

Melting MomentsIn order, to strengthen the bond between the parents and their children outside prison weconducted a Mother & Father child meet.Sonam, Ayush &Arjun from Ashadeep met their parents and were very excitedto share their experience about Kids on Rampage (KOR).They shared with them that how happy they felt whilewalking the ramp and see everyone clap & cheer for them.Sonam, told her mother that other than her academic activitiesshe has learnt to make different hair styles as a part of herVocational Classes in School. She even gave a demo to her bymaking a lovely braid. This meeting was a very happy one;parents were full with gratitude and Thanked the foundation for their support.
Campaign of the MonthOur recent collaboration with Temasek Polytechnic Singapore for Project Kiran has been ahuge success! Our little girls from Assisi under Children of Vulnerable Families project (CVF)got a chance to spend a week with these lovely kids from the University.
In order, to carry forward this amazing bond; students from the university under the CampusAmbassador Programme (CAP) of the foundation initiated a campaign to raise funds forMenstrual Hygiene management. The proceeds of the campaign will help the girls to haveeasier access & hygienic disposal of Sanitary Napkin leading to a healthy life.

Success StoryHappy to share with you all success of our beautiful girlsfrom Zaheen family under our Home Support programmeof Children of Vulnerable Families Project (CVF):Sameena(Class III), Alisha(Class II), Iqra(Class I) andAafia(Nursery). The academic performance of these girlswas not up to the mark untill the intervention was made byour Project Coordinator Rizwan Ameen. In order, toupscale them academically regular meeting with theirtution teacher and vocablury learning through small
exercises at home by the mother helped them to raise their performance bar. For this academicsession these girls not only got good marks but also badged 1, 2 ranks. Congratulations girls!
