Take I-495 to Rt. 4 South. Take Rt. 4 South approx

15 miles to Rt. 260 to Chesapeake Beach and North

Beach. Turn LEFT at Rt. 261, then LEFT onto 1st St.

From Baltimore

Take I-97 South to Annapolis and Rt. 50 East. Exit

Rt. 50 to Rt. 2 South. Stay on Rt. 2 for approx. 20

miles to Rt. 260 to Chesapeake Beach and North

Beach. Turn LEFT at Rt. 261, then LEFT onto 1st St.

The Seahorse Guest Cottage is located in North Beach,

Maryland, on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay,

within an hour’s drive of Washington, Baltimore, and

Annapolis. The fully furnished cottage can accommodate

five people and is dog-friendly with a fenced yard. The

Seahorse Guest Cottage sits on a quiet street within

walking distance to the Chesapeake Bay and the North

Beach town boardwalk, beach and pier. Additionally

several restaurants and shops are within easy walking

distance. A marina with boat launch, a waterpark, and a

shopping center are within one mile of the cottage.

There are close-by opportunities for charter fishing,

kayaking, hiking, fossil hunting, bicycling, and bird

watching. A weekday commuter bus provides service

into Washington. Well lit and airy with a separate studio

building, The Seahorse Guest Cottage is an ideal and

inspirational place for artists, musicians, and writers.

The town of North Beach is an incorporated community

of about 1800 residents. Originally platted in 1900, it

was once referred as “Washington’s Salt Water Resort,”

and was accessible to Washington, D.C. by railroad and

streetcar. Today the town is experiencing a substantial

revival, with old homes restored and new homes

constructed.

And yes, seahorses do live in the Chesapeake Bay!
