Many trees lose their leaves in the autumn. Without leaves, they need less water. So they can survive when the ground is frozen.

Camouflage Peppered moths are difficult to see against a tree. So they probably won’t get eaten by a bird.

The chameleon has a long tongue which it flicks out to catch insects.The chameleon is also very good at camouflage. It can change colour to match its background.
