•This examplehas sufficient internal volume.However, if youprefer ‘tighter’sound reproduction, you can reduce airspace using sands or other fill material.

•Placingthinsoundabsorbentmaterialasshownenablesreductionofpeaks&dipsaround150to400Hzbandwidth.However,itmayreducetransientresponse.Youshouldadjustittoyourtaste.

•Inordertoavoidunwantedmid/highfrequencydispersionofthehorn,werecom-mend damping the enclosure with filler and sound absorption material.

Bass Reflex Type Enclosure•FE166Enisdesignedforabackloadedhorntypeenclosure.Itisgenerallyunsuitableforbass reflex type enclosure use because of its overdampingsoundcharacteristics.Howev-eritispossibletousetheFE166Eninabassreflex type enclosure as shown.

•Thisexampleisanarrowandtallstylebassreflex type enclosure. Internal volume is 15 literstunedtoapproximately65Hz(Fb).

•Lowfrequencyresponsefromaround150Hzis gently damped with a controlled peak at60to80Hz.
