Paper deadlines are so early now, travelingto Fluvanna and writing puts a strain on thereporter, article and newspaper.

Ad dollars of NBC29 are derived from Valley

and Charlottesville area. Few dollars arecoming from Fluvanna CBS19 has reporters do “triple duty.” They

report, film and anchor sometimes. Theirfirst news broadcast is 10 pm.

Central Virginian does not write originalFluvanna news anymore

When you go out to cover anstory

Look the part. Not ‘Sunday’s Best’ but mostdef. business casual or dressy casual.

Act confident no matter how you feel.

Don’t let road blocks stop you. Research! Always be alert. Stories/leads occur/happen in

strange places.

Work thoroughly but don’t over do it. Be used

to deadlines approaching!
