Truck Sponsorship is one of Feed The Children's most rewarding community outreach programs. Each sponsored truck delivers approximately 25,000 pounds of food and other essentials—enough to supplement meals for 400 hungry families of four for approximately one week!
FCCLA is proud continue their partnership with Feed The Children (FTC) for the 2008-2009 National Outreach Project. If every FCCLA member participates, as many as 25,000 families could receive food for as little as $2 per student! In the U.S. alone, 13 million children live in poverty—that’s 18 percent of the population! A single truck sponsorship provides approximately $35,000 to $50,000 worth of food and other essentials (actual weight and value of product varies by shipment) to families in need.
