1.) On a weekly basis, the Tower Construction Notification System will either send an email or produce a letter to the Tribes, SHPOs or NHOs who have indicated that they wish to be notified of a proposed tower construction within a specified area.

If this type of entity indicates that they only wish to be notified of a proposed tower construction within the states of Indiana, Illinois and Michigan, the TCNS will only send to that entity a notification for a proposed construction in those states.

If during that week the system does not receive a proposed construction within that area, this entity will not receive an email or letter notification from the system.

2.) At the same time the TCNS sends the notification to the Tribes, SHPOs or NHOs it will send an automated email to the Tower Builder letting them know that their submitted proposal was distributed to interested parties. The email will advise them which Notification ID they submitted and the names of the entities that were sent the notification and how they received it – email or letter.
