FaxImport Module
The Paragon System’s Fax Import Module automates the processing of incoming fax transmissions.
The module utilyzes the Paragon PRobot technology to process and import fax documents and associated index values directly into a variety of front end capture and document managemen systems.

DESIGNED FOR PRODUCTION PROCESSINGComprehensive processing messages are displayed in the Fax Import Module interface window and written to a log �le. Additionally, information pertaining to the success or failure of incoming items can be written to a database table for auditing and reporting. Successfully imported documents can be archived as a backup until they are no longer needed. Unsuccessfully processed items are moved to an exception queue for manual processing.
MAXIMUM CONFIGURABILITYMultiple folders can be speci�ed as input sources, with the option to check all subfolders as well. Batch class and form type can be determined based on the import source folder, subfolder information, or other incoming index �eld values. Document index �elds can be mappe to current date and time, incoming fax forma-tion, literal text, or any combination of these values, with a variety of formatting options.
OCR OPTIONAn optional OCR module is available for rendering incoming faxes to full text. The text can then be processed and used for creating document indexes. This option can be used to further automate the fax import process and reduce or eliminate the need for manual intervention.
IMAGE PROCESSINGIncoming images can be processed and normalized before being imported into the capture or document management system. For example, faxes that are received at 204x98 dpi can be converted to 200x200dpi or documents that are received in a.ti� format can be converted to .pdf documents or any of the other supported formats.
ADMINISTRATIVE FEATURESThe scheduling option allows an administrator the ability to specify the hours during the day processing will occur. Processing can be started and stopped manually. Designated sta� can be noti�ed via network messaging or emails in the case of any disruption in processing.
EXPANDABLE TO MEET YOUR NEEDSAdditional input modules are also available to import documents from a variety of external sources such as email systems, edi stream sources, and external document management systems.
