Host System and FT | JAN 2 0 1 3
Fault Tolerant Configuration
• Host System Software – LiNC-NXG, LiNC-Plus, LiNC-XS, EBI*
• Fault Tolerant Architecture– FTC Controllers– Door Modules
• Dual Door Module (DDM)
– Single Door Module (SDM)
• Ethernet Communication• Up to 3 Communication Ports
– Ethernet– PoE – XBee PRO DigiMesh
Fault Tolerant System Architecture
• Fault Tolerant Controller (FTC)– Distributed Intelligent Controllers with Hydra
• Door Modules– DDM series (Dual Door Module)
• Any Reader or Biometric Type• Supervised Reader Detect
– SDM (Single Door Module)• Single Door controller (No reader)
– SDM ER series• All inclusive (Multi-Tech Reader and Controller)
Controller Components
Basic Fault Tolerant Archtecture
Ethernet Network
FT Configuration – “CLIQUE”
• A Clique is a “group” of Fault Tolerant Controllers and Door Modules– Maximum 8 – Fault Tolerant Controllers– Maximum 112 – Door Modules (DDM/SDM)
• Up to 224 readers
• A Clique Communicates Information within itself and to the Host
• No limit to the number of Cliques per system
Design Recommendations
• Fault Tolerant Controller Capabilities– Monitor and Control up to 16 DDM or SDM
• Clique Size– Up to 8 FTC– Total 112 door control modules
• Up to 224 readers if all controllers are DDM
