Endowed Professorships An endowed professorship or chair is a position permanently paid for with the revenue from an endowment fund. These positions allow the College of Business to attract and retain internationally known scholars, contributing to educational innovation that stimulates economic development. Holding such a professorship is considered to be an honor. Currently, a minimum donation of $600K is required to endow a professorship.

Endowed Scholarships and Fellowships An endowed scholarship is financial assistance that is permanently paid for with the revenue of an endowment fund specifically set up for that purpose. It can be either merit-based or need-based (which is only awarded to those students for whom the College expense would cause their family financial hardship.) Fellowships are similar, although they are most commonly associated with graduate students. In addition to helping with tuition, they may also include a stipend. Fellowships with a stipend may encourage students to work on a doctorate. Frequently, teaching or working on research is a mandatory part of a fellowship. The amount donated to start an endowment can vary depending on the need.

ScholarshipsWith the generous support of the community, the College is able to provide a variety of scholarships to assist students in all circumstances with funding their education. There are numerous ways to help business students to achieve excellence in their education.
