FASTING IN RAMADAN IN THE LIGHT OF QURAN
Dear Readers,
I hope you're well. I did not write on مصو (Fast) yet because I wanted to give
some motivation to my readers to try and read the mentioned verses of the
Quran on their own and follow the Arabic texts of these verses (2:185 &
2:187) by using correct grammar and good dictionaries so that they should
become self-reliant in the study of the Quran and can build self-
understanding of what Allah actually wants to say in these verses.
However, soon I will write something on this topic and forward it to you so
you can match the interpretation you get with the help of the grammar &
dictionaries and compare it with the translation given by me and also the
traditional misleading translation of our so called scholars who have
reverted us back to paganism. I can give you an indication to start with
taking the correct meaning and use of the verb أنزل in the verse 2:185 ش هر
الذيأنزل ان ض م is أنزل according to the grammar the form of Arabic verb , ر
"imperative" , which is a command verb that tells us "to do something" but
in the translation of this verse our scholars have changed this command
verb into the "past” verb to hide Allah’s true message in which He tells us
“what to do” in Ramadan. Hence the scholars misleadingly asserted that
‘the Quran was revealed in Ramadan’. This is not important when the
Quran was revealed but the implementation on the Quran and conveying
its message to others is more important, which is ordered by the verb نزل أ .
They have changed Allah’s orders so deviously that no-one ever dared to
go against their interpretation by discarding their biggest lie that the Quran
was revealed in the Ramadan.
Allah is telling us to do something very important in Ramadan and to
commit ourselves to the obligatory work against the evil practice but both
traditional and Quranist scholars have changed the words of Allah by their
nonsense thoughts and invented that “Ramadan is a holly month in which
the Quran was revealed”. Whereas Ramadan even does not fall in the
invented list of the sacred months. Furthermore, they have inserted into the
translation their pagan deity Moon sighting and its fasting ( الشهر ف ليصمه) whereas Allah is separating and setting aside their indicated evidence in
which the pagans used to keep fasts after Moon sighting ( والفرقان فمن شهد منكم). They have changed the interpretation of the verse 2:185 from the actual
commitment ( وا اللر of promoting, keeping above and raising high (العدة ولتكبر
Allah’s command in Ramadan. They have also changed the interpretation
of verse 2:187 and their fellow pagan started misguiding people by
presenting the wrong interpretation of “ كلوا واشربوا حت ي تب ي لكم اليط الب يض من اليط to mean “Allah has ordained for you, and eat and drink, until the”السود من الفجر
white thread of dawn appear to you distinct from its black thread”. Whereas
Allah was actually ordering us to “eat and drink whatever/until the
subject matter is already distinguished/shown/stated made clear to
you in black and white” or “eat and drink unless it appears
wicked/immoral or sinful”. اليطmeans; thread, theme, direction, subject
matter and a particular piece of writing. When you go to internet and find
some particular discussion on any topic you always notice the terminology
of “live thread” or “closed thread”. If any write up is removed they write
“thread closed”. Therefore, you can eat and drink unless there is any
written reference of abstaining from eating and drinking in Ramadan,
which has come from Allah in black and white. الفجر is already used in
the Quran in the sense of wicked, penalty and recompense together with
rising the day. However, all reputable dictionaries mention the Arabic word
to meaning: starting, inception, daybreak, blast, blow up, set off, act of الفجر
immoral and sinful. So, in the said verse 2:187 the same word الفجر is used
in its primary meaning: already visible, burst to clear and able to be
penalised, wicked or sinful.
Allah has sent the Quran for us and He has used the same language in His
message to make us understand His message in our everyday language.
This is the same as saying “black money” to the illegal or unlawful wealth
and “white money” to the legal or lawful money. We always use a phrase
“in Black and White” for a clear evidence or a solid proof. Therefore, since
inception they have no proof in black and white and nothing in writing that
Allah had ever stopped us from eating and drinking in the name of “Fasting”
in Ramadan. Furthermore, the words “ ن ا فإما ت رين من البشر أحد ا of ”فكلي واشرب وقرري عي
the verse 19:26 also discard the hunger fasting practice of pagans, in which
Allah Himself defines and explains the meaning of “Fasting (صوم) in His
own words “Eat, Drink and Chill your eyes that is indeed a nourishment
of the human”. However, “ فإما ت رين من البشر أحد ا” is wrongly translated as if
Mary mother of Jesus (pbuh) was not living in the human world and seldom
came across people ( دوھکی وک ااسنن یھب یسک مت ارگ رھپ ),i.e. “so if you see any human”.
The further part of the same verse 19:26 “ف قول إنر نذرت للرحن صوم ا ف لن أكلرم الي وم إ نسي ا” explains what to abstain or refrain from when you keep صوم (popularly
known as Fast). “In fact she said I have committed my صوم (Fast) for God
so don’t talk today medially/ loosely /inhumanely.
Similarly, the interpretation of verse 2:187 has been twisted to bring pagan
hunger fasting into Islam from dawn to dusk. Nothing is mentioned about
giving or not giving permission to go to women at night or stopping in the
day nor is it mentioned that men or women are garments for each other
and neither is the word “ المساجد” used for Allah’s house or the Muslim
mosque. We forget to use our common sense to realize that there was no
mosque of Islam present when this verse 2:187 was revealed. In fact the
word “ المساجد” was used to portray the places of the pagans where they
used to prostrate to their idols and obey other than Allah.
Thus, the study of these verses shows that Allah has imposed some
particular responsibilities on us in Ramadan to go and stay in the places
where people obey other than what is actually told by Allah and transmit
the Quran to those who have certified hunger fasting for their Moon (أنزل )
deity having sighted the Moon. These people who teach innocent people
their misleading views in the name of the Quran must rectify
themselves and revert to Islam and they must also stop interpreting
the Quran any more.
I will write full details of each word mentioned in these verses of the Quran
in my forthcoming articles on صوم (currently known as fasting). However,
you can carry on your research to understand the Quran without going to
any so called scholar and without opening any translation of the Quran.
Best Regards
