ello everyone. June has finally arrived and once again Summer in New Jersey is about to shift into high gear. We just attended this years’ Wildwood Spring Rally in Wildwood, NJ. This was a new date for the Wildwood Spring Rally that is traditionally held in mid-April. The weather started out perfect on Friday and Saturday got off to a rough start, but eventually the clouds burned off around noon and bikes began to roll around the streets again. A Brief shower early Saturday evening ended a little bit before night fall but didn’t put a damper on this event. And the bikes were lining up on Atlantic Avenue at local favorites like the Bolero, The Deck, Tuckers Pub, the Boardwalk Bar and Grill and, one of the newest hot spots, the Montego Bay Resort a few blocks into North Wildwood and walking distance from the Bolero.

I’d guess a lot of you have heard the stories or maybe, like myself, have one or two about the kinda biker unfriendly North Wildwood police department. Moving up the ladder, of course nothing comes close to Myrtle Beach police with their official Myrtle Beach biker un-welcoming committee and town council. They are the undisputed heavyweight champions of senseless tickets! So, If you’re looking for a good spot close to the action and the crowd to go out for a few drinks and don’t want to ride afterwards, there are a few really cool spots in North Wildwood that are just a short walk away from the action and they are looking for your business.

Over the years we have done countless rallies and events but that’s no surprise, however, what you might find surprising is the shit we think up during this time. No matter how big or small a motorcycle event is there is always those long stretches of hours when it’s simply dead.

So what do you do, besides drink that is, sometimes, ok most of the time. During these long stretches we tend to think up different ideas for the company. Yeah, yeah, its hard to believe that we can actually think. Now, most of the time it’s just dumb stuff and we’ve had some winners... Like the time we thought making sports jerseys like football, basketball and hockey jerseys would be big sellers. After spending thirty five thousand dollars and ending up with two years worth of inventory, we painfully realized... Not a big hit for us.

Recently we were at a rally that proved to be very interest-ing to say the least. We never have any trouble with MCs and, here’s a hint, you won’t either if you mind your own business and keep your trap shut. Because business was a little slow and there were as many 1%-ers as there were police, we just wanted to keep our heads down so what did we do? Of course... We started coming up with shit. Actually we had two ideas, one not so good but pretty funny and one really good one.

Ok, so as most of you know we have a strip pole mounted on our Streetglide, now Stripperglide, us-ing a modified Harley-Davidson quick release luggage rack. In the past we have as many as 3 little hotties danc-ing on it all at once and these chicks probably weighed a hindered pounds each so we thought... Hmm, what if we put one three thundered pounder on that sucker? Thankfully there weren’t any females that met that cri-teria, however we did find a volunteer.

Who you might ask? Or is it whom? Whatever. You all know and love this guy, it was none other than Big Rick from Geico Insurance. Now Rick tops three hundred pounds easily. Without hesitation the big man jumped up on the pole and, yes, started dancing. Pictures don’t lie and besides Johnny having post traumatic syndrome after-wards the son of a bitch held up. We think the motor company should use this as a testament to their quality.

So what was the good idea? Let’s be honest we are getting to be old bas-tards and being on the road is beating the piss out of us, one more than the other, you can decide which one that is. Also no matter how hard we try we can only do a finite number of events each year. So how do we get spread the gospel of Strip Club Chopper? Answer, state licensees. Yep, just like Subway, McDonalds, Harley-Davidson, etc. A Strip Club Choppers in every state. Yes, that’s the goal. Since this little brain child evolved several have signed on several states. So if your into bikes, girls and money here’s how you can become the Strip Club Choppers of your state... You need 5k as the

initial investment, $2,500 of which goes to your first merchandise order. After that order, at least 5k worth of product from us every year and you can keep the license of your state. Yep, that’s it! If that’s too com-plicated, it’s not for you. Email us or blow in a call if you’re interested in becoming SCC of your state.

See there was one good idea that came out of our doing nothing but, like they say, even a broken clock is right twice a day. See you on the road. Be safe.

The Fast Lane:Cheesy Potatoes . By: Cheryl Hille Ingredients 3 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced 1 medium onion, chopped 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese 1 tablespoon minced chives 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 2 tablespoons butter 1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese Directions: In a large bowl, combine the fi rst six ingredients. Transfer to a double thickness of greased heavy-duty foil (about 18 in.

square). Dot with butter. Fold foil around potato mixture and seal tightly. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 30-35 minutes or until potatoes are tender, turning once. Carefully open foil. Sprinkle bacon and mozzarella and ched-dar cheeses over potato mixture. Grill 3-5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

Grilled Garlic Potatoes . By: kelly Ingredients 6 medium baking potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced 1 large white onion, sliced 3 tablespoons butter, sliced 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley salt and pepper to taste 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese Directions: Preheat grill for high heat. Arrange potato slices, separated by onion and butter slices, on a large piece of aluminum foil. Top with garlic, and season with parsley, salt, and pepper. Tightly seal potatoes in the foil. Place on the preheated grill, and cook 20 minutes, turning once, or until potatoes are tender. Sprinkle potatoes with Cheddar cheese, reseal foil packets, and continue cooking 5 minutes, until cheese is melted.

Broccoli Salad . By: Sara Sherlock Ingredients 1 1/2 cups fresh broccoli fl orets 3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 4 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled 1/4 cup fi nely chopped onion 3 tablespoons mayonnaise 2 tablespoons white vinegar 1 tablespoon sugar Directions: In a bowl, combine the broccoli, cheese, bacon and onion. In another bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar. Pour over


broccoli mixture and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Tangy Grilled Beef . By: Allison L. Ingredients 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup 2 tablespoons brown sugar 2 tablespoons lemon juice 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme 1 1/2 pounds beef top sirloin steak Directions: Preheat grill for medium heat. In a small bowl, mix together soup, sugar, lemon juice, oil, Worcestershire, garlic powder, and thyme. Place steak on lightly oiled grill rack over medium hot heat. Grill for 6 to 10 minutes, uncovered, turning once. Brush often with soup mixture. When done, allow to rest a few moments off the heat. Transfer any remain-ing sauce

Beef Martini . By: TARA LYON Ingredients 1/2 onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1 cup barbecue sauce 1/4 cup gin 1 tablespoon dry vermouth 1 tablespoon green olive brine 1 teaspoon dried basil 4 (1/2 pound) beef sirloin steaks Salt and pepper to taste Directions: In a medium bowl, combine onion, garlic, barbecue sauce, gin, vermouth, olive brine, and basil. Sprinkle each steak with salt and pepper, and place in re-sealable sandwich bags. Divide marinade between each bag, and seal. Ensure that marinade is evenly distributed around steaks. Refrigerate for 2 to 24 hours. Preheat grill for medium-high heat, and lightly oil grate. Remove steaks from bags, and discard marinade. Grill steaks for 7 to 8 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.

Dijon Grilled Pork Chops . By: Babette Watterson Ingredients 6 tablespoons Dijon mustard 6 tablespoons brown sugar 3 tablespoons unsweetened apple juice 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 4 (8 ounce) bone-in pork loin chops Directions: In a bowl, combine the first four ingredients; mix well. Pour 2/3 cup marinade into large resealable plastic bag; add the pork chops. Seal bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade for basting. Coat grill rack with nonstick cook-ing spray before starting the grill. Drain marinade from pork. Grill, covered, over medium heat for 6-10 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees F; basting occasionally with reserved marinade.

Marinated Grilled Chicken . By: Denise Boyd Ingredients 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves 1 (16 ounce) bottle Italian-style salad dressing 1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper Salt to taste Directions: Rinse chicken and pat dry. Place in a shallow glass bowl and pour 1/2 bottle of salad dressing over it. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Lightly oil grill and preheat to medium high. Remove chicken breasts from marinade. Season with lemon pepper and salt to taste. Grill over medium high heat for 10 to 15 minutes on each side, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.

Its middle January and not too many motorcyles out in this cold but inside the Lacey Knights of Columbus things were hot, hot as in hot spaghetti and meat-balls! Due to the tireless devotion of Rolling Thunder Chapter 2 of NJ members this fundraising event in its 13th year remains a very looked foward to event by many even if you have the scoot out or not! From the kitchen crew to the door and cleanup crew all pitched in to make this event very successful and, from the jammed packed room, that was evident. Many friends, family and clubs look for-ward to a spaghetti dinner with all the fixins, about as close as mom would make! Rolling Thunder had a great spread of veteran related items for purchase as well, that help the Chapter in their conquest on POW/MIA awareness and help veterans in need. Other than great food, there were doors prizes and a 50/50 as well as the much anticipated Cannolli Eating Contest (leave the bike take the cannolli lol!) With all that, I’m heading over to the desserts!

This April the Jersey Giant Two Day Motorcycle Swap Meet and Motorcycle Show was held at the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset NJ. This event had a little something for everyone no matter if you were shopping for a new or that hard to find used part. You most likely could have picked it up here.

There was a personal appearance by crowd favorite, Tattoo Tony who is best known for his many appearances on the Brett Michaels ‘Life As You Know It’ reality show. Tony was at the show filming his own reality show and promoting his line of Tattoo Tony Hard Ice Tea.

Everyone seemed to be taking their time walking around listening to the bands, shopping the vendors and pretty much forgetting about the fact that Spring had not yet arrived in the Garden State.

BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING

Not long ago, I received a video-tape showing a client’s accident as it took place. The video came from a bank surveillance camera and was obtained by the police who investigated the accident.

The video wasn’t much help because it was shot from to far away to show who was at fault, but it proved what I have suspected for many years, that many of our actions are being recorded by security cameras without our knowledge or consent.

While hoping not to sound too paranoid, I actually assume that when I am in a commercial area, I am being recorded. Although I don’t change my behavior, this “invasion of privacy” has become a reality. Making matters worse, rarely does a day goes by that we don’t read about some company tracking our movements through our computers, GPS systems or cell phones, intentionally or not. Add to the list, the hackers who steal information, and the personal information that many of us intentionally put on the internet through networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc., and you can begin to understand that our private lives are becoming more public every day!

Those who read my columns know that I advocate curtailing any discussions about an accident, or any private matter, on the internet or through e-mail. As proof that I am not being overly cautious, some defense attorney’s are now requesting Facebook passwords in order to obtain information about accident victims. Whether the Courts will allow this invasion of privacy, remains to be seen.

Additionally, employers and college admission boards are searching networking sites to learn more about potential candidates. Further, I recently read about attorneys who are googling or Facebooking potential jurors right from the court room to learn more about them. No longer is justice blind, it’s now powered by Google!

The bottom line is, we have all become accustomed to putting personal information on the internet and in texts, e-mails, etc. – without thinking about the potential consequences. Therefore,

my advice is simply - DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN WRITING – BE IT IN A TEXT, E-MAIL or ON THE INTERNET, that you want kept private, because inevitably if some one looks hard enough – they may find these communications. If you want to discuss something sensitive ….. use the phone!

On another note, the PA Supreme Court recently decided in the case of AYERS v. BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING

Not long ago, I received a video-tape showing a client’s accident as it took place. The video came from a bank surveillance camera and was obtained by the police who investigated the accident.

The video wasn’t much help because it was shot from to far away to show who was at fault, but it proved what I have suspected for many years, that many of our actions are being recorded by security cameras without our knowledge or consent.

While hoping not to sound too paranoid, I actually assume that when I am in a commercial area, I am being recorded. Although I don’t change my behavior, this “invasion of privacy” has become a reality. Making matters worse, rarely does a day goes by that we don’t read about some company tracking our movements through our computers, GPS systems or cell phones, intentionally or not. Add to the list, the hackers who steal information, and the personal information that many of us intentionally put on the internet through networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc., and you can begin to understand that our private lives are becoming more public every day!

Those who read my columns know that I advocate curtailing any discussions about an accident, or any private matter, on the internet or through e-mail. As proof that I am not being overly cautious, some defense attorney’s are now requesting Facebook passwords in order to obtain information about accident victims. Whether the Courts will allow this invasion of privacy, remains to be seen.

Additionally, employers and college admission boards are searching networking sites to learn more about potential candidates. Further, I recently read about attorneys who are googling or Facebooking potential jurors right from the court room to learn more about them. No longer is justice blind, it’s now powered by Google!

The bottom line is, we have all become accustomed to putting personal information on the internet and in texts, e-mails, etc. – without thinking about the potential consequences. Therefore,

my advice is simply - DO NOT PUT ANYTHING IN WRITING – BE IT IN A TEXT, E-MAIL or ON THE INTERNET, that you want kept private, because inevitably if some one looks hard enough – they may find these communications. If you want to discuss something sensitive ….. use the phone!

Favorite aspect of bike: My goal was to build a bike with a very pleasing overall look, to have nothing that really jump out at you or looks out of place. It is possible to have too much chrome on a bike so I was careful to limit it and had some chrome parts stripped and powdercoated black instead. It’s the small details that give a bike character. Some of the things people notice initially are the seat, the fat rear tire, and the pow-dercoated coil cover. My favorite aspect is when people ask “who built it” or “where’d you buy it”, and I can honestly respond with “I built it and I ride it.” I spent 3 years out in my garage struggling, sweating, bleeding

and screaming but at the same time, learning and I have a sense of pride in my accomplishments.

BSA BUILD... FINALLY DONE!

I know that it seems a long time since I started this bike, but sometimes things don’t work out the way you want them to mechanically and timewise. So anywho, we fi nally get all the stuff back from the painter, the chromer, and all other culprits involved. Everything I sent out, took forever to get back, eating up a lot of time I did not have to put it all together. See, this bike was going down to the smokeout in Carolina somewhere and it had to be assembled, riden, gone over and be ready to go by the 16th of May. Here it is the middle of April, and things are fi nally here.

A lot to do for one person, let alone doing everything else around here. So we dive into the thing feet fi rst and get busy. Hey, we have gone over a bike assembly before, so don`t get upset if i don`t go thru the whole thing again. Things fell right into place on this build, because there is not a lot to this bike and everything was fi tted and re-fi tted upon pre- assembly. Every now and then things do go as planed and this was one of them. Damn good thing too, I did not have a lot of time. Engine and trans fell in the hole no problem, got back to a rolling frame so fast I couldn`t believe it. I guess my old buddy Eddie was giving me a hand from beyond. Thought I felt someone watching me. Wiring and all the rest of the bike just fell into place. When all the brass started to go on, you could really see what the owner was looking for.

Not going to bore you with all the rest of the stuff. Take a look at the pic`s and see what you think. When I got to the point to ride it, it all came back to me like I just got off a jockeyshift. Down the road and all is well. That is the best feeling in the world. (well almost, but I can`t go there) So after a ride or two, back up on the table to go over everything. Then back for another ride. Well, so far so good, time to call Tank, and tell him to come get it. So take a look. You will probably see him riding it around up in North West Jersey.So thats that!! now I gotta get some time to get my bike serviced and cleaned up. Figures, I will have to do that on my time, when ever that is. Gonna have to check the fridge and plan a course of action, you know how that goes.

Yep Spring is here and so is the wet and mild weather. But it wasn’t too long ago it was @#%in cold and the fond memories of cold weather bring fond memories of Christmas and toy runs.

Once again Santas Helpers Dan, Frank and Kristy are keepin’ the toy run spirt alive and well in Barnegat. This home-roots run has gotten larger every year and more popular as well amoungst the elves! Taking care of those less fortunate around the holidays definetly show that people in general care, but bik-ers? Bikers always go the extra mile.

Many showed up to support this event, it was cold but you could feel the warmth from those there as the gifts brought where piled high. As the bikes rolled through the neighbor-hoods of Barnegat and Waretown, lots of people came out to wave on the bikes and check out Santa and his reindeer riding along.

The ride ended this year at the Barnegat American Legion and everyone warmed up with a little bit of holiday cheer as the lo-cal police helped Santa load everything that was collected for distribution to those in need locally. Inside entertainment by lo-cal favorites “Bog Iron Band“ and a hot buffet brought the temp up a bit more. With all this happening its no wonder the ride home felt that much warmer! Bring out a gift and check it out next year.

Many showed up to support this event, it was cold but you could feel the warmth from those there as the gifts brought where piled high. As the bikes rolled through the neighbor-hoods of Barnegat and Waretown, lots of people came out to wave on the bikes and check out Santa and his reindeer riding along.

The ride ended this year at the Barnegat American Legion and everyone warmed up with a little bit of holiday cheer as the lo-cal police helped Santa load everything that was collected for distribution to those in need locally. Inside entertainment by lo-cal favorites “Bog Iron Band“ and a hot buffet brought the temp up a bit more. With all this happening its no wonder the ride home felt that much warmer! Bring out a gift and check it out next year.
