Garhwal [Central] University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand and is accredited by UGC. Institute is recognized by the State Govt. of Uttarakhand approved by Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) Mumbai, and National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE), Jaipur. Dolphin Institute offers a large number of job/career oriented UGC approved courses in the field of Forestry, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Agriculture, Horticulture, Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Physiotherapy etc. The Institute is committed for providing quality education to the young students and to develop them as professionals in the field of biomedical and natural sciences.

About the Department of ForestryForestry is the art and science of conservation and management of tree resources, including natural and production forests. The main objective of the Forestry Department of the Institute is to educate and develop skill in the field of forestry and allied subjects among the students at graduate and post graduate levels. This is with a view to creating and implementing systems that allow forests to continue a sustainable provision of environmental supplies and services. This will meet the challenge of forestry in creating systems that are socially accepted while sustaining the resource that might be affected.Department of Forestry of the institute was established during 2002-2003. The department has learned faculty to impart education and training to students undergoing studies not only for graduation and post graduation but also in catering to the need of different forestry institutions in India, Nepal and Bhutan for further higher studies and carrying out research, management and different extension activities. The subjects dealt in educating the students generally embrace a broad range of concerns, in assisting forests to provide timber as raw material for wood products, wildlife habitat, natural water quality management, recreation, landscape, remote sensing, forest-based community development, forest business management, entrepreneurship, dendrology, biodiversity, watershed and sustainable forest management, and preserving forests as 'sinks' for atmospheric carbon dioxide, forestry integrated tourism etc. There is MoU between DIBNS and Garden City University, Bengaluru on common areas of forestry integrated studies on tourism, organization of conferences and exchange of faculty and students for learning from on-going best practices in the field of forestry allied tourism in Uttarakhand and Karnataka.
