WHO IS

Officially, fashion designer, specialized in menswear, but one day a friend discovered to me the concept of “infor-mation canalizator” and I also see myself represented with that.

I consider myself a creative and proactive person, in need of new challenges all the time. People say about me, that I fulfill with energy everyproject I’m in, and everybody I work with.

Thanks to my passion for Art and Reading, as a way to scape of the crazyness of the world, I have to admit that for me it is equally important the visual image and the words when expressing any idea.

I’ve allways been very interested in all that has to do with 2.0 and Fashion. I’m an internet lover and I need to share with the world all I find in the Net.

Photography is a late interest that I discovered, and since last year I don’t go anywhere without my camara.

Ears and Eyes opened.

‘My first Suit’ was what Ermenegildo Zegna asked us for.

Nowadays young people spend almost the whole day with the suit, they go to work, have lunch, go with friends, have a drink at night, travel, go to the gym, go in a harry everywhere.

They need a suit that helps them in this life, for the 360 movements, for the 360 moments. Intro-ducing 2 % of Elastano in the construction of the fabric, could help.

The outside appearance is classic, only playing with small details, like the distances of the but-tons, or resizing a bit smaller all the pockets.

Checking who is the new gentleman and making a collection for him was the brief of this project.

I chose as my New gentleman, Robert Raben-steiner. The characteristics are modernity, el-egance, masculinity, intellectuality, own style, playful, colourful, good manners, use of patterns and textures.

My inspiration was the Swing, the happiness, the need of comfortable garments to dance, and the fact that the swing was the jazz for the white people as the new gentleman is the modern ver-sion of the classical gentleman.

The contradiction of the the two words, confort-ably and numb, one with a positive meaning and the other with a negative meaning. Something apparently uncomfortable that becomes con-fortable.

When you are relaxed and embraced, we are used to think that we are confortable, but this feeling are mixed up with the rhombus feeling of angles.

Mix of yarns, naturals with artificial. rough with technologic. Soft and angles.

This project is inspired by the artwork of Marie Buskov “Tell all the Truth, but tell it slant, Suc-cess in Circuit lies” that explores the relationship between space and photography. Spatial collages of photographs links different times and places. They are three dimensional and floating, and in the room they are looked upon with a wander-ing eye.

Also inspired by the collages of the constructiv-ist László Moholy-Nagy and his “New Vision” experimenting with overlaping exposures.

Gives as a resault an elegant and simple but functional collection that plays with the Layers of space and places but you can move around and beyond.

Touch speaks about feeling things, the tectile sensations that sometimes can be pleasing but also annoying. Tex-tures that simulates the physical contact. The act of not only wearing a garment but feeling it.

Reading a book in your denim trousers if you are able to understand braille. Touching the stones of the nature. Get-ting this effect thanks to a fabric treatment.

Volumed accesories, inserting appliques to the garments.

With this project I’m questioning about the challenge of time, that can be measured exactly, but at the same time can be so elusive.

This collection wants to represent timeless, the atemporary moment that you get when you stop time. but you didnt stop time, you are just in the altered state, where you can flow.

This altered state is a perfect balance between past & future. This combination makes a tale, an irreal world, where you can start to flow.

This collection is for the people that lives or would like to live in this altered state. They are pushing 30, but they still need to play. They live in permanent revolution and free flow spirit. They are men at work 5+2 days a week, so they don’t have time or maybe don’t want to think what to wear in the morning or maybe they want to be identified by the altered state group by the garments they wear.

So the Altered State group needs a uniform. Has to be all purpose garments (day and night time) practical and at-tractive, should be atemporary with a startling simplicity.

The shape inspiration is the TUTA, the one piece straight line garment designed by Thayath of Florence.

The collection consist in 8 outfits (7 days+1 to change) but all of them are almost in all the fabrics. Have to be simple to make (cheap) to understand the pattern after the years (tuta), atemporary. And timeless fabrics.

.What happens when you go blindfolded to a place that you know very well?

.What if people forgets you when you are blindfolded?.What if someone ask you to write down what is going

on your mind that moment?

Stress, Anxiety, Vertigo, Lonelyness.... Raining men, Storm, Fluid, Go out....

We made two garments, the two of them were the same, but we could play with them inside in order to express

our feelings.

Took part of a week workshop with the german fashion de-signers BLESS, in the Karlsrhue Product Design University, Germany. We were half fashion design students from IED madrid (under selection) and half product design students from Karlsrhue University. We mixed specialities, made groups and started to work with the subject matter, curtains.

Our group wanted to do something with mobile fashionable architecture. So at the end we did a curtain that covers our body (coat) and a curtain that covers you from other surfac-es, like the floor (chair), it is also a curtain for the rain. The back of the coat can be auotoinflated, turning into a chair.

Third Prize for the sunglasses project called Perspectif, in the ‘Eyewear for the near future design contest’, of Visual Global.

Perspectif comes up from the necessity to break the view we are used to, by creating a new generating di-mension of volume and depth.
