From June 24th to July 10th 2015, Villanueva University offers the fourth edition of a unique Summer Course Program focused on Spanish Fashion Retail Brands. FRS is an intensive three-week course in English which includes classes from renowned industry experts and professors from prestigious fashion schools such as London College of Fashion (LCF), Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York, Villanueva University (Complutense University Madrid) and Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) in Scotland.

FRS and MADRID
FRS will take place at the heart of Madrid’s Golden Mile district in the city center. The campus is within walking distance of Plaza Cibeles, Parque de Retiro, the old city center and other landmarks and lively shopping and cultural hubs such as Museo del Prado.
PROGRAM OF STUDY
The IV FRS Summer Course includes lectures, workshops, industry visits and retail routes in Madrid, the vibrant capital of Spanish fashion. Topics to be covered:
• Spanish fashion brands’ internationalization strategies • Different retail types: value retail, e-tail, lifestyle brands, concept stores, etc. • Customer shopping experience and visual merchandising insights • Successful market segments: fast fashion, footwear, bridalwear, leather goods and childrenswear • Fashion retail routes in different districts of Madrid: Salamanca and Soho-Salesas • Visits to company headquarters and factories
