IIDA Fashion Remix 2014an interior design fashion challenge
About WHEN: October 16th, 2014
WHERE: The Rail Event Center
TIME: Doors open at 6 p.m.
Runway show starts at 7 p.m.
Fashion Remix is a fashion show, where interior designers will be challenged to create an outfit made of vendors products. The garment could be an ensemble out of carpet, tile, wall covering, laminate, you name it. The possibilities are endless and the creativity of the interior designers are pushed to the edge.
Judging Criteria Creativity
Craftsmanship, construction and detail
Use of manufacturer’s materials
Model’s performance and ability to “work it” on the runway
Pre-judging information and presentation
Awards Best of Show
Most Innovative Use of Soft Material
Most Innovative Use of Hard Material
Two Honorable Mentions
People’s Choice
Manufacturer Guidelines The team is allowed to use any product/material supplied by the
manufacturer within reasonable dollar value or quantity limitations
The intent of the event is to showcase product by using it in a unique and creative way
Fabrication of the materials into a garment is the responsibility of the entire team
They encourage teams to sew and assemble their creations using their own methods
Teams are allowed to outsource assembly at their own expense
