1961- Fashion was all about the costume look. 1962- Focused on sleek and slender shoulders, softly bloused with muffled neckline, and a natural outline, which fell in a simple, form- fitting line. 1963- Included knee- high skirts, sleeveless dresses, and lower heels. Furs also became very popular, leopard was the leading fur of them all.1964- Ruffles, fitted bodices, lace, and pleats were in style. 1965- Women wore low hipster pants and the poor boy sweater.1966- Women wore ties, mannish jackets, shoulder handbags, and gaudy jewelry. Furs were out and gloves were a must. 1967- The skirts got shorter and the boots got taller. 1968- Women shopped at thrift shops for a more colorful, loud, and expensive look. Accessories were overdone usually overpowering the outfit. 1969- Women wanted a more slimmer look, so this meant clothes fit tighter. Every was topped with a jacket or longer coat.
