fashioncanbe ugly

According to the Urban Dictionary A fashion crime is wearing clothes that do not match or look altogether stupid. A notion of ugliness. But what is ugly fashion? Lets compare this to a scholarly theory, for example in sociology there is this notion that in certain societ-ies a crime is considered to be deviant. But that crime might be acceptable in a differ-ent society. Therefore, deviance, just like “ugly fashion“ is in the eye of the beholder.

Clothing styles and popular apparel fashions are con-stantly in flux, and the fashion world is con-tinuously inundated with runway innovations and fly-by-night fads. Over the last century, fashion

in the Western world in particular has expe-rienced continual upheavals and major chang-

es. From 1900 to 2007, popular fads have included such fashion statements as rear-enhancing bustles, short flapper dresses, wide-leg bell bottoms, and de-liberately ripped jeans. These and other major fashion trends make up the fasci-

nating history of twenti-eth- century women’s clothing.
