YOU Can Help Grow Food for the Hungry!
Individuals, families and volunteer groups are needed on the farm in this self-‐sustaining project which provides fresh farm produce for those who are hungry. Tasks You Can Do … Usually every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00 am to noon or 1:00 pm – Weather Permitting! Volunteers must register with the Volunteer Coordinator ý Till

ý Weed When You Come … ý Eat Breakfast -‐ Drink ½ gallon of water before noon ý Please come prepared to get dirty, and muddy; to see earthworms and maybe spiders, ý Wear rugged clothes (long pants, long sleeved shirt) and boots / shoes – no sandals or flip-‐
flops, but garden clogs are great of course! ý Bring a snack or a picnic lunch! ý Bring garden gloves if you have them ý USE SPF 30 sunscreen and bring some to reapply ý Apply insect repellant and bring some to reapply ý Bring water bottles, a sun hat or visor, and bandanas (you might actually sweat!) ý There is a “port-‐a-‐potty” available. You may wish to bring a packet of tissues for your comfort. ý Please bring a hoe if you have one, preferably long handled

See fence gate with sign saying “Bruised Reed”. If you use GPS it will take you to a residence, Please DO NOT go to the private (non-mission) residence
DIRECTIONS Garden State Parkway (toll road) South, Exit #13 GSP Exit #13 toward Avalon / Swainton / US-9 - 0.2 mi Turn right at Avalon Blvd (signs for Swainton /ROUTE 9) - 0.4 mi Turn left at N Rte-9/N Shore Rd / US-9 - 0.8 mi Turn right at Swainton Goshen Rd - 3.4 mi Sharp left at Goshen Rd - “Bruised Reed”farm will be on the left - 0.5 mi Arrive at: 860 Goshen Rd Cape May Court House, NJ 08210

Garden State Parkway South (toll road) to exit #17. At exit #17 turn LEFT onto Route #9. Take Route #9 5.0 miles to Goshen Road. Turn RIGHT onto Goshen Road. Go 3.1 miles on Goshen – the “Bruised Reed” farm is on the left.
