The entire South West Gauteng College recognizes the achievements of your charismatic leadership. The team is both happy and sad. Happy, because you have boldly taken the next step in you life’s journey and we wish to say THANK YOU for the incredible contribution, influence and positive impact you have made to the education fraternity particularly the TVET sector and community. We are sad because you are leaving us just as the year starts, a critical phase of the academic calendar. Many young peoples’ lives have benefitted from the institution that you led successfully with so much wisdom, passion and care. We would like to THANK YOU also for helping us achieve our milestones and turning SWGC into a remarkable community of learners and achievers provincially and nationally. You have inspired us to continue making a difference as such SWGC would always cherish your contribution as that of an unparalleled persona empathy and great leader. THANK YOU also for making SWGC, a great workplace of choice. Through your inspiration and support for human development, many of us experienced professional as well as academic growth. Being a manager and leader of a huge institution like SWGC can be difficult but your often astute and well calculated decision-making expertise steered us to greater heights. We have all grown accustomed to you just being available as the reassuring voice and sounding board for advice and guidance. We are proud to have associated with you and we will certainly miss your infectious passion and distinct personality: that unique touch that only you could bring to the college and various events and activities we managed and host. As SWGC community, we have indeed benefitted immensely from your bottomless pit of wisdom on a personal and professional level. We are glad that you have given us the licence to continue to draw from you even going forward. As you pass on the baton to the next principal and the rest of the team, we accept the Farewell letter

The entire South West Gauteng College recognizes the achievements of your charismatic leadership. The team is both happy and sad. Happy, because you have boldly taken the next step in you life’s journey and we wish to say THANK YOU for the incredible contribution, inuence and positive impact you have made to the education fraternity particularly the TVET sector and community. We are sad because you are leaving us just as the year starts, a critical phase of the academic calendar.

Many young peoples’ lives have benetted from the institution that you led successfully with so much wisdom, passion and care. We would like to THANK YOU also for helping us achieve our milestones and turning SWGC into a remarkable community of learners and achievers provincially and nationally. You have inspired us to continue making a dierence as such SWGC would always cherish your contribution as that of an unparalleled persona empathy and great leader.

THANK YOU also for making SWGC, a great workplace of choice. Through your inspiration and support for human development, many of us experienced professional as well as academic growth. Being a manager and leader of a huge institution like SWGC can be dicult but your often astute and well calculated decision-making expertise steered us to greater heights. We have all grown accustomed to you just being available as the reassuring voice and sounding board for advice and guidance.

We are proud to have associated with you and we will certainly miss your infectious passion and distinct personality: that unique touch that only you could bring to the college and various events and activities we managed and host.

As SWGC community, we have indeed benetted immensely from your bottomless pit of wisdom on a personal and professional level. We are glad that you have given us the licence to continue to draw from you even going forward.

As you pass on the baton to the next principal and the rest of the team, we accept the

Farewell letter

challenge to build on your legacy and achievements to take SWGC, community and the nation of South Africa forward.

While we could never do it exactly the way that you would, we will, certainly pick up where you left o and carry on in a way that will still make you proud to have been associated with the SWG TVET College.

The words of Paul Borthwick, in his book Leading the Way, aptly capture the kind of leader you are and the leaders that we would all like to become:The world needs leaders...whose word is their promise;who possess opinions and a will;who do not hesitate to take chances;who will not lose their individuality in a crowd;who will be honest in small things as well as in great things;who will make no compromise with wrong;who are true to their friends through good report and evil report, in adversity as well as in prosperity;who do not believe that shrewdness, cunning, and hardheadedness are the best qualities for winning success;who are not ashamed or afraid to stand for the truth when it is unpopular, who can say no with emphasis, although the rest of the world says yes.

We could not say it better ourselves, you have been an incredible mentor and father to us. The imprint you leave on each of us in the team, is that of seless service and commitment to our goal to become the world’s rst choice in oering innovative contemporary knowledge and desired practical skills that allow our leaners to benet themselves and the wider society. We will not disappoint!

We would like to conclude by saying that you can be condent that you have groomed us and prepared us well to take over from you. You can walk away with pride that you leave a team that will ride on your positive energy, catch the re of your infectious passion and press on to realise your dream to lift SWGC ag to greater heights.

We wish you the very best that life has to oer and pray that God grants you the desires of your heart.

Thank you!
