You will be provided with a policy and claims document detailing how to make a warranty or insurance claim. How long do repairs take? Repairs are handled on a case by case basis, and the turnaround depends on the nature of the damage or fault. The most common damage is a cracked screen which, once reported, should be picked up, repaired and returned within 7 to 10 working days. Can they use the device at home? Yes the student can use the device to further enhance their learning and we recommend that you set you security seng on your Wi-Fi accordingly. How many devices can I order? One per student at the school. When will I receive the device? The ordering window will open on the 12 th June and orders need to be placed by 5 th July. Your first direct debit will be collected on 25 th July, confirming direct debit orders. Devices will be delivered to the school and will be handed out at the start of the school year. The Academy will have a number of devices that can be borrowed to use in lesson me, these devices will be kept in the Academy and given out when the learning requires. How long can I spread the payments

Having access to the latest technology when

and where they need it gives students the very

best chance of success in and beyond the

classroom. But, for parents, making that

investment can be a struggle and the

equipment they choose may not always be in

line with the schools existing systems and

infrastructure.

The Equipment On Offer The Programme is geared towards Google

Chromebook Devices because Google Apps for

Education are free and Google can be used on

any type of device.

Our preferred device is the HP Rugged

Chromebook 11 which comes with a

ruggedized body, warranty and insurance.

How Technology Supports

Students’ Learning Independent academic research undertaken in

Scotland during 2013 by the University of Hull
