Answer: The deadline for applying for declaration training was 30 th March 2015, however this was extended to 10 th April 2015. Q. I applied for training and I have not received any invitation for training, Why? A. The applicants who applied for the training by 31 st March 2015 were invited for the training on 1st April 2015 and reminded on 2 nd April 2015.Any applicant after this date will receive the feedback on 13 th April 2015 after the deadline for application stated above (10 th April 2015) Q. I got the feedback for my invitation but was advised to contact KenTrade as my details were highlighted in yellow.Why? A. This because the nature of your organization business as stated was not clear. Please clarify what your organization does and also note that we require additional information for Importers and Exporters to enable us align them to the suitable training. The ongoing training on Declaration Submission through Kenya TradeNet System targets only the Clearing and Agents. If you are Clearing and Forwarding Agents and also an Importer or Exporter then you will be required to provide your current valid Customs Agent License. You can email us your training request via [email protected] to enable us slot and schedule you for training. We will also be glad to assist in processing your request if you are interested in the Trader Module or any other training that we offer regarding the Kenya TradeNet System. Q. How come I got the invitation but I am not in the list of Trainees? A. We need to know if you received the invitation from KenTrade or it was forwarded to you by a Clearing Agent, your training region of choice, and also if you applied for training by 31 st March 2015 and used your own names and organization details in the application.   • Q. Can I change the venue of my training to an alternate venue? A. Request for change of venue for training will only be considered based on genuine reasons. Q. I am from Nairobi and my training venue is in Mombasa what do I do? A. The preferred training venue is on the application details. We advise that you reapply

    and put the correct details in the application forms by 10th April 2015.

    Q. I have not done phase 1, 2 or 3 training but we do Declaration and have met other training requirements. Can I be considered for training? A. Yes, you will be considered. During the training the participants are taken through what

    was covered in phase 1, 2 or 3 training as refresher training and may apply for the training by 10th April 2015.

    Q. How much is the training and what do I need to carry during the training? A. The training is at no cost and all participants are required to carry the items below during the training:

    Copy of their organization valid Customs Agent License,

    Copy of participant ID

    Copy of the invitation email.
